So this afternoon I get a call from a customer of mine telling me about another customer of mine that had his truck stolen. The guy who's truck was stolen was saying that the GPS tracking was not working. Well I had to get involved and get this figured out ASAP, does not look good for business.
I logged into his account and found out he was mis-reading the information, it was all there. I called him to tell him where his truck was, down to the parking spot in the lot. He immediatly called the detective who happen to be close by in North Vegas (go figure). He gave him the info and low and behold the truck was sitting exactly where I told him it was sitting. He recovered his truck with minimal damage.
This group of guys are all friends and all have my units in their company trucks, the last thing I need is one to say their tracker is not working. With in about 5 mins we had it all figured out. If the victim would have just called me first, then everything would have been figured out in the first few minutes this morning and resolved before he even had to go to work.
Just a side note is was a 2004 dodge 2500 4x4 cummins. Stock with nothing done to it, even had factory rims and tires. Not sure what they stole it for, but either way it was found. He only had me install the tracker in his personal vehicle because he was going on a several week road trip cross country towing some valuables. Also it let his wife and kids see where he was, they thought it was really cool. Good thing he had it.
