What does an average trailer weigh for a 25' boat?

1000 to 1200 pounds for twin axles

Triple axle...doesn't that seem like a little overkill for a 24' boat?

That is way overkill. I have been to Eliminator several times and every time I ask that question, they say it was just for show.

But, back in that era the boat were longer. Now the manufacturers add the swimstep into the overall length. In current measurements, my boat is a 27'.

Taking into consideration last week's photo of that MOO-COW-MOO in...or should I say ON YOUR BOAT, you may want to consider a (NINE) axle trailer and tractor with a 600 HP Cat engine. Even then, you may want to avoid the hills.

Your friend,

Ken

Cozad makes a really nice triple 16 (9 axle) trailer with a steerable booster to make negotiating those tight turns a bit easier, especially with the weight you're looking at... Â*a 600hp Cat in a nice Kenworth would get you around great. Â* http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

You like yellow? 80 ton capacity work ok?

Maybe we need to find a bigger trailer. We damn sure need some extra "Wide Load" signs. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Sorry Greg, it's just too funny to resist. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

Here's a purple trailer that kind of matches the boat better. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Don't forget the two pilot cars to escort that wide load.

Guess you can only go during the week now. They have restrictions on loads that big on weekends.

You know, from the looks of it, I'd say we do have our moments...

BTW, I don't think the Durango would pull that trailer. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

How's the green machine doin' Jordy http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Probably wouldn't need more than a 10' UHaul flatbead trailer with 14" wheels and a buddy to throw that thing on it and tow it to the lake http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif

Is that any way to talk about your First Mate? (Stand in of course while the wife is out of boating commision). http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Besides, all my toys have the "NO FAT CHICKS" stickers on them, and that girl (used loosely) definately fits that rule as she's as wide as all outside. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

You can roll w/me anytime bud. I just don't think I'll be using it for a while - hence the sale. I'm having second thoughts though. I'm in no hurry, if I sell it, I sell it. If not - not.
