View Full Version : Bye bye Las Vegas...

Well, I finally did it. I packed up the Yukon, hooked up the boat and moved the 2300 miles to Florida. It was a loooong drive by myself but the Yukon and the Myco trailer performed flawlessly. Found myself a nice little house with two docks so the boat is docked 30 feet from the house. Finally getting settled in and starting to see the end of the move. Loving every second of it down here. I also became a US citizen last Friday, after being here more or less since 1980. Lots of changes, but all to the better. The good company I had while boating with the LVHB group will have to continue as a boat bitch when invited. You guys are only a short flight away so sorry to announce you haven't seen the last of me yet.... And of course I do expect you to stop by if you happen to be in the area, or just want a break.

Picture 1 is the rig parked in front of a max length tractor trailer rig, he beats me with 2 feet...:insane:

Picture 2 is the dock with the lift. There is one on the other side as well so the boat can be safe.

Picture 3 is the house as we approach it from the intracoastal.

Picture 4 is the matanzas inlet south of St. Augustine.

Congradulations Kim on all the Dreams coming true. Finally a good reason for a road trip to Florida next spring/summer.

Plenty of tuna down here as well. Def look me up if you are in the area or just want a fishing trip. Here we don't even need to use the trailer..

It is good and bad. I always liked Florida and have just as much time here as I did in Vegas. Very good to get out of a dead end relationship and closer to many old friends. Will miss the lake and the good times I had there, but hope for an opportunity to be a boat bitch and stop by for the ragattas..
