The boat had stopped running and would not turn over untill I put it in forward drive, also it felt like it had a vibration in the drive. I took it back to Essex and they said when the boat shuts off like mine did it puts the timing of the drive off and should go back to normal within a couple of running hrs. Dose that sound right to you? Im not sure about that but ill guess I will find out. Thank god for warrenties. And im hoping the weather is ok for Fri and Sat...You no the weather people they said it was to rain here all day and right now its sunny outside...

That sounds kind of "fishy" to me? But then I am not a Mercruiser certified mechanic. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

yeah me too...also I have some clear fluid @ the bottom of the engine compartment that no one can explain to me....

That sounds like power steering fluid, or trim/tilt fluid.
As for the timing issue, don't buy into that one.

If you used the in-floor cooler it is definitely water with an Essex! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Seen lots of that! Are you dealing with Alex at Essex? He's pretty sharp - at least with everything on my boat. Had it in for several very minor warranty issues and they've been great.

Didnt see anyone out there on Sat. The lake was nice, perfect glass all day. I have never seen the lake like that before. Also I cant believe how low the water level is, it has dropped about 10-15ft since we were there in Aug. Still has lots of room to roam. We made it down past Temple Bar from Callville and over to see the damm. Perfect day.
jr, did you (or anyone else) make it out on sunday? i worked all day sat. but had considered hitting the water on sunday until i heard the lake was expecting 25mph winds. any truth to that? i REALLY need to go to the lake!!! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif i'm jonesing BBBAAAADDDD!
