LA Boat show

Me and the Mrs. are going to the show on the 15th. Anyone else going? Where is the LA convention center and is there any good hotels near there? We will drive down Saturday morning, shop all day, have drinks sat nite and head back to Vegas Sun morning.

Bill, bring a list of your used open bow/mid cabin Nordics, 25's or 28's late model with decent power. Thor, we will be looking for you. I think I will have to wear my LVHB shirt to see how much attention it gets.

My girlfriend and I are going to try to make it Saturday with THOR, but it will probably have to be early. Also, incase you still don't know where the convention center is, it's where the 10 and 110 meet, right next to the Staples Center. As far as hotels............. I'd go somewhere else, it's not the best part of town!!

Thanks RL, I know they usually put convention centers in crappy parts of town. We will find a hotel in a little better area.

You definitely DO NOT want to stay anywhere within 25 minutes of the LA convention center. The Queen Mary is a hotel. That is cool.

Who ever is going, PLEASE take lots of pics of Magic's deck boat & post them. There is no way I am going to make it and I would love to see some pics of their boat here. I wish the Vegas show was good, but the last few years it was WEAK. I think Advantage was the only custom manufacturer I saw.

Yeah thor isn't kidding, you dont want to stay anywhere near the convention center. You might wanna try down around Santa Monica you wanna look around a lil, but I like fever's idea of staying in Ontario. Makes for an easy getaway, which you will wanna do soon I'm sure. I plan on going mid week sometime not sure which day yet. It doesn't open till 2pm weekdays, and I have to work at 9pm so it will be a short trip, but I think I can do it. Long as I dont get stuck in that frickin traffic, god I hate traffic!

We toured the Queen about ten years ago or more, and the Spruce Goose before they moved it. It was pretty cool and being that weekend is the day after VALENTINES DAY (forgetful guys take note!http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif, it might be romantic to stay there. I have the missus checking into availability and prices.
