View Full Version : mini dune buggies?
i'm looking into getting a mini dune buggy if you can call it that. something in the 1k-2k range. i'm interested in something that my boy will get a kick out of and that has enough power to haul my fat ass around in the dirt with him as a passenger. i've looked on the internet and found these buggies that look like they fit that bill but don't anything about dirt toys. my wife will probably be the one driving it most of the time since i'll probably be riding a 250 dirtbike. any suggestions?

my wife will probably be the one driving it most of the time since i'll probably be working.
Fixed it for ya. :D
I don't know a whole lot about them, they look like fun but for a grand or two you better be careful, you get what you pay for. If your just looking to cruise around they would probably do fine though.

Here is an idea: You buy my shifter kart for dirt cheap, get the kid a small kart and hit LVMS Friday nights, should you get tired of the shifter then there is a MX dirt track 100 yards away.
AND you will have Sat AND Sunday for boating / fishing... Looks to me like we have a winner!:D:D

Rude,
I checked these out a few years ago. I rode a in a 150 cart and a 250. The 150 is a dog. The only thing I would make sure of is to get the 250. Also they seem hit or miss for longevity.

LOL!! hopefully that won't be the case.
i do realize you get what you pay for but we're not looking for some monster sand rail. just something mainly for my boy to ride around in and start driving in a couple of years. i wanted to get him a dirt bike but the mrs. isn't quite ready for that. i don't want something that my wife will be intimidated to drive. i was leaning toward the 250 cc size but the mrs. isn't so sure about that because they start to climb in price pretty quickly at that point. we may end up passing on the whole idea but i wanted to get some opinions from any of you guys that have experience with dirt toys.

thanx keith. that's about what i was thinking as far as the 150 vs 250. the quality was my other concern.
