Well, I hate to say it but I turned my back on the Ford for 20 minutes without setting the alarm and now the Beautiful F-250 is gone.

This really sucks and I am not sure if I want to get it back or not now. The truck was taken 13 Feb down in Tucson. Luckily enough I have my bike here and am still able to get around town. A friend of mine is coming down this weekend and taking all my stuff back to Vegas for me. I am going to have to ride the bike back up. long ride, but no choice in the matter.

For those of you that have not had a vehicle stolen it is a great pain in the A$$. Not only emotionally, but financially. I was hoping to get a new boat at the end of this season, but that probably won't happen now because of this. The insurance company will give me book value and a little extra for my add-ons. I had approx $9000 in extra crap on or in the truck. It will take alot of money and time to build another one the way I want it. Those of you that familiar with the truck know I had tons of hours in labor making things the way I wanted it to be. I had just installed rear air bags 1 day before I headed to Tucson and the truck was pretty much finished minus a few small things I wanted. I think I have found my replacement, just have to wait for the insurance company to pay out. it has most of the things I had except the on-board air setup which can be done well for about $300.

Two things my next truck will have, GPS tracking, and LoJack. I will not go through this again. I will probably be ordering from this company

I will be getting the Smart track Plus. it has a starter disable option that can be turned on via the internet. What this does is not allow the truck to be started again once it is shutoff. You could even do this if just leaving for vacation or leaving the truck at the Airport. Now the electrical nerd side of me will use this for other options to disable certain features of the truck (pm me I don't want everyone knowing what I am going to use it for) The truck will be able to shut itself down though, thats all I am saying, hopefully I will be right behind them. If the vehicle is stolen while you are out of town you can set it up to notify you, and then you can jump online and track and/or disable the truck. You hook it up to your current alarm and have the system notify you as well. The sky is the limit on these systems, but this one seems to have most of what I need for the overall best price. Some units you can send a txt msg from your phone and do things like unlock the doors, track and other features, while I really like this idea, I don't want the monthly fees. This one works like a pre-paid phone, you buy some minutes and if you don't use them then there is no cost.

The unit will allow real time online tracking.

The unit is very easy to hookup, just alot of work to hide it. Where ever you choose. I know where mine is going.

Ok, the point of this thread. If anyone want to put this on there vehicle and we can do a multiple order here are the prices. Not much savings, but it helps. I think I already have 4 or 5 units to order. My motorcycle and 4runner will also be getting this.

Quantity Smart Track Plus
1 $279
2-9 $269
10-24 $259
25-74 $249
75-99 $239
100 plus $219

Just an idea. I would pay several thousands not to be in the position I am in right now. It all sucks, and stress of just getting home is not worth it. If I could only go back to Weds afternoon and do it all over. I had a sick alarm system on my truck that would fire off the air horns. I just did not set it. I knew I would only be gone a few minutes. The truck has been broken into twice and would be thief's have always run away after setting off the alarm.

if you know anyone trying to sell a nice 4x4 diesel in the mid $20k let me know.

I think I'm in. The plus version looks nice. That and a starter kill setup.

Sorry to hear about your truck, Keith! That really sucks!

P.S. I have a nice truck that you could buy. It's only a 2WD but being that it is a Chevy will more than make up for that! :D

Sorry to hear that Keith, hate those thievin' bastards:chainsaw::brutal:

I have lowjack on my vehicles as i thought that was the only gig out there. One thing I don't lie about their system is you really can't test it unless you know a policeman. The batteries could go out or unit take a crap and you won't know until it was stolen and got no signal.

So can you do your own tracking and actually see where it is on your PC?

Sorry Kieth, That sucks, I have never had my truck stolen but I have had it broken into a couple times and cleaned out. I thought that was bad. PM me before you order I may be in. That will give me a couple days to think about it. I read an artical that my truck was one of the easier ones to steal because the door locks are part of the handle and not in the door.
