No, I didn't buy anything at the boat show and NO, it's NOT too much motor...just a combination of things. My son start private high school next year, both kids are getting more involved with sports...son is going out for travel ice hockey next year, and the future of my job is shaky with given current economy. Put all those factors together and boating time and $$$ will be greatly diminished and I could really use the liquid cash right now to get a little more financially stable. I am not going to give it away but if someone is willing to give me a fair price, I will take it. Doesn't mean that I am out of boating for good, just for a year or two. Besides, I am sure that ALL of you will give my family and I a ride anytime...right? :thumb: I will be keeping my oar, PH!

Just an FYI... If you live in Nevada and buy a boat out of state from a "private owner" you do not have to pay sales tax either. I didn't no that until I bought my boat form a private owner in Denver and I went down to register it at NDOW. I had to pay tax on the trailer at DMV but not on the boat at NDOW.

Kev,
unfortunately, I am in the same boat (no pun intended). The economy sucks and time is limited, but if somebody is willing to take my boat, then that would be great. But, until then, I might squeeze in a trip or two.

Best of luck. I would snatch yours up in a heartbeat.

Thanks, THOR. I will use it until it sells for sure! Hopefully, it will sell before early summer.

That sucks guys, sorry to hear this. Like you said, I'm sure it's just temporary. When you are each interested in getting back into the past-time, you will have plenty of boats to choose from.

We plan on spending a little more time on the water this year, you are always welcome.

Did you ever get the problem with the exhaust being misaligned corrected??

kevnmcd
02-23-2008, 02:14 PM
No, it ended up not being that far out. I was able to get the exhaust hose on there and clamped and never had any leaks so I just left it alone.

Trouble Maker
02-23-2008, 05:33 PM
Well, if it's not burning through that flexible hose, I guess it will be alright.

One of my risers the exhaust is misaligned by about 1 1/2 over probably a 10" span and I have to change that hose out once a season to keep it from burning through. This spring I'm gonna pull that riser off and have it modified so the exhaust has more of a straight shot out of the boat... If it's not one thing it's another..... lol

kevnmcd
02-25-2008, 07:17 AM
I don't have the flexible hose as I was able to get the standard straight hose to fit. I was going to put the flexible on there but since the straight was working okay, I decided to not mess with it. I don't have any signs of it getting close to burning through.

P.S. I looked for more pics but can't find any that really show more of the boat right now. I will have to take a bunch next month when I go out to Havasu.

Any bites on the boat yet? If I didn't have two boats already, I would grab this one up! Course even with 2 boats I still spend more time as crew on someone else's sled than on my own !:D

Man, sorry to hear about the loss Kevin - that sucks. But...sometimes the unexpected leads you to something better. Let's all hope!

Unfortunately the marketplace and the general economy looks to be headed for a really nasty period. Everything I've been reading indicates that our financial "geniuses" in Washington have lead us to a point where we can't do much to turn the train around. Hopefully the LVHB family won't be hurt too much during the down times that certainly - at least in my mind - are coming.

Best of luck to you in the job search. We'll still be out in Havasu every two weeks except for April this year so look us up. We probably won't be jetting up and down the river at the cost of $4+ gasoline but hanging on the water in any form is still good.
