Going to make a run down to Havasu on the 8th & 9th . Anyone know a good place to stay? Any info would be great. We usually camp at black meadow landing, but this trip we really want to rough it and stay in a hotel.

Karen and I will be there Feb 8-9. Launching from Windsor beach on Saturday about 9:00 AM and then heading South. They are really dropping the lake to conduct repairs so we want to stay in the deep end. We will probably camp at Black Meadow on Saturday night.
You could hotel it at Black Meadow! Or the Holiday Inn 928-855-4071.
Give me a call at 310-874-2732. KC

Cool would like to hook up with ya and check out that new ride. We have never looked inside the hotel at black meadow, but the out side looks scary. Where is windsor beach?

As you drive towards Havasu from Las Vegas, fill your boat with fuel at the Pilot gas station on 40, or the Chevron next to it. Best prices.
Head into Havasu, once in town, past the Home Depot, you will notice a Wal-Mart on your right. The stop light at the end of the Wal-Mart block is Kiowa. You will start to see the State Park signs for Windsor Beach Launch, it is two more lights, turn right and the road goes straight into the launch.
We should be at the launch by 9:00 AM ready to put some hours on the new motor! Cell works fine 310-874-2732.
I fuel my boat at the Chevron in the parking lot of Wal-Mart, additionally my storage bays are just up the street. I should be at the bays at 8:00, Chevron 8:20.
When are you getting to Havasu?

Great! We will try to get out of work early on that Friday so we can get up there at a decent time on Friday night. That way we are rested and ready to go on Saturday morning. It will probably be too cold for a late night cruise on the lake, but with the GPS and half the moon it could be nice. We will boggy out of Havasu at around 2:00 on Sunday afternoon.
Might I reccommend one of the two breweries for dinner on saturday night, both are good!
Looking forward to it.

This weekend weather, Friday got up to 86 and Saturday was a touch cooler. Sun is up 8:00 AM CA time, red sunset by 5:30 PM CA time. Karen and I are driving up on Friday night so that we are rested and ready to go on Saturday. About three dozen rigs in the parking lot of the Windsor Beach launch on Saturday morning - so the lake is wide open.
I'll bring BETA shirts for you guys!

KC,
Did you want me to have some of my employees put the cards inside envelopes? Or did you want to do that yourself? Also, the office betty that I had pick up envelopes picked up 3000 4 1/8 x 9 1/2 unsecured type. Is that going to be a problem? If so I can exchange them for security type. Or maybe we could fold the envelopes and put a little tape on them. Anyway let me know.

I think security would be better so that they can not see the card contained within.... the smaller the envelopes the better.
Each card envelope will have a number on it.... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 - representing the stop number.... 7x300=2100 cards in envelopes. So 300 envelopes labeled with a 1, 300 with a 2, and so on........ that way we can control the quantity of cards that are in play, the participant must stop at each card stop to collect the appropriatly numbered card envelopes.
The card envelope will contain only the card, so stuff and seal if you have time and resources - that would be great, if not then I'll turn it into a pizza party for the kids in the neighborhood!
Sorry I did not post better details earlier....
Thanks, KC
