We just got the left engine rebuilt, with all new parts. We went to mojave last weekend and went thru tons of gas. I isolated both engines to the 25 gallon tanks. The new engine went thru 25 gals in about an hour, the right only used about 1/4 tank if the guage is right. Both engines were matched in rpm's any ideas?http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif?

The carb controls how much fuel is sent through the motor....did you do any work to it? or is it EFI? If it is carbed, I would start with there. Just my .02

4X the consuption? Sounds like a gauge is off! I can't believe a new motor would four times as much fuel!

I know what happened, same thing happened on star trek last night. The one engine musta passed through a mini temperal distortion field where time is passing at an accelerated rate. Recommend keeping at impulse power to avoid any warp core breaches. =)

I'd pull the plugs on that engine and check for raw fuel. Was that one smoking? If it using that much gas, it could wash down the cylinders and that engine would never break in.

Good luck, and let us know.

I would just give the boat to me, and start over with a new one. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Okay Cracy,
Since you are new, I will let you slide with the 'real boat' thing. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

Did you figure it out?
