First of all THANKS TO BOB, BOB's WIFE, and BRANDON! Without them the event yesterday would have been just another beach hangout. They did the entire event festivities!

THANKS TO SCOTT AND BILL - for leading/organizing the damn run.

THANKS TO ALL MEMBERS WHO CAME (and those who didn't!) - it was a great day - we really enjoyed it and the kids had fun also! It was great to see everyone out there and great to be back on the lake in my OWN boat for another LVHB regatta!

like G said, thanx to the JAP crew and Pump crew for organizing the event. you folks did a great job!! i'm glad to see we raised a couple of bucks for the site and a couple of you's walked away with some great prizes and some cash. some of you made out MUCH better than others......sneekee :) we had a GREAT time!!

i do have some pics to post but i may not get them until tonight or tomorrow. is there a way to post video on this site?

And a special thank to those who brought me "nuts". Would never have made it without you. You all have my number and feel free to call so I can make up the favor. Brilliant work from ScarabRick that I finally got a hold of, and from Keith to post it, and have so many people willing to help me out. We camped out with DCFive and Sr. Just the perfect night to stay out there and we will be back for more of that river. Here is some pictures:

we tried to get a good pic of viper, but he was running to damn fast!!!

the mrs. took a pic of roln's boat thinking it was patrick standing behind the wheel. after she took the pic she realized it wasn't patrick..............so where exactly where you patrick??????

just out of curiosity, has anyone seen any kayakers lately?? i was really hoping to see a few of them this weekend cuz we're thinking of buying one :)

Ahhhhhhh, GOOD TIMES! 80-90 flawless miles 4-5 hours on an untested motor, and it ran without a problem. Great to see everone y'all are the best group around. By the way BIG THANKS to Bob and Angela for putting the party together. They did ALL the work I had nothing to do with it. Yeah some made out good in the raffle but how about that 50/50 winner huh?:D By the way it was all spent that night.:drinkers: Scott send me my pics please.

if you look REAL close at the pic of sneekee's boat shows you taking a pic of us taking a pic of you......but your hand is in front of the lens :thumb: way to go ansell adams :D

All i can say is Damn kayakers!!!!!!!!!
I had to yell at them as we were going up to the dam. You guys didn't see it but they were floating in the middle. Told them to move to the side and move fast. I was in the 280 v bottom eliminator and we were cruising @ 50 with the 280 eliminator cat. many times we went down to 20 in order for them to get out of the way. We didn't want to feed the fish :)

I guess all you fast guys riled them up... they were flipping us off as we blew by, and a couple of them were still trying to upright their kayaks. As stated, thanks for puttng on a great event, not only did we have a great run, along with the best real fruit jello shots (thanks Never Enough) we've ever had, and NDAWIND for allowing us a couch in their condo on wheels after to many jello shots. It was a pleasure finally meeting some (or most) of you there and are looking forward to some more good times.

If only I had remembered the camera :smashfreak::smashfreak::smashfreak:

Hope that motor stay together till the end of the season. If not I can send you the guys info who is doing my bro's motor. He was a teague motor builder.
Those kayakers were flipping us off and so were the fishing boats. Maybe they picked the wrong time. Should of waited a day. Even the river guides were waving a finger at us. We wern't even moving :insane:

Yah those jello shots were the best !!!!!!!!!

i have zero problem with SHARING the river with whoever else wants to use it. what i can't figure out is why the f'n kayakers insisted on taking up virtually the entire river. they barely left room for a single boat to pass them!! i didn't see any one finger waves but plenty of folks givin' us the stare. i should take more saturdays off to make that run, i really like that part of the river. there were a couple of places where i was trying to keep up with sneekee and neverenough and it was like driving a road course. lots of fun!! let's do it again :)

I hosted them on another site, photobucket.com which is free, and then I had the site generate the IMG tags, since it is easier to have their utility do it as opposed to typing it all in myself, then copy/paste the tags in the message box.....

Looks like a good time was had by all.

Heard some of yall tried calling us here in Japan. That would have been great. WE have a new system and it gets screwed up sometimes. We were in Tokyo all weekend anyway.

Loved looking at all the pictures and look foward to seeing some more!

A HUGE thanks to everyone who made the day as great as it was !! Rude, now that we know your boat still floats, maybe we will see you out there a little more :) Great jello shots nvr enough!!! you should market and sell those bad boys !!
i think by the time i made it though, all you fast boats had pushed the paddle boats to the sides, because there were none in the middle ... good job :)
and finally i wanted to thank everyone who made the "sneekee raffle" possible, we couldn't have won it all with out you :)

Huge thanks to all who spent the time to put the regatta together. :thumb: We had a blast. I can't take credit for the jello shots though, That would be Mrs. Nvr enough and Mrs. troublemaker. I just drive the boat and consume shots. Great time meeting some new folks and boating with some existing members.
See you all on the lake. and anyone from Cal who wants to do lake mead, Let us know. We are there almost every weekend

um, yeah :thumb: Even though I "live" in Havasu and enjoy hanging down there, Mohave is my favorite place to run that boat...we ran most of the way back down from Willow to Owl, and all the way from Owl to Cottonwood in the mid 90's. The boat loves wind chop, but really does not like crossing boat wakes so up there and in the Cottonwood basin is great running :thumb: :thumb:

Echo that.

Aside from hitting a few 'holes' on the run back to Cottonwood from Owl I was impressed how the boat rode at 60 in those conditions.....

Daddmack, I always enjoy seeing pictures of your boat (especially the shot of the bow from the cockpit). In 1978 my folks purchased a brand new Manta Ray 22' Daycruiser with very similar colors to yours. Dig it, thanks for bringing back some old, very fond memories of my family on Lake Mojave in our daycruiser.

Daddmack, I always enjoy seeing pictures of your boat (especially the shot of the bow from the cockpit). In 1978 my folks purchased a brand new Manta Ray 22' Daycruiser with very similar colors to yours. Dig it, thanks for bringing back some old, very fond memories of my family on Lake Mojave in our daycruiser.

The eliminator deep v is "280xp whipple". I was riding with him(white guy with a tan). Great riding boat it is. ran near 60 the whole way up and back . good water and good people.

well kim, i was suppose to go, but i would have had to load 2x 5gal buckets for seats, and a nice big rope for you to pull me around with :) And i just wasnt willing to put you through that.

Im hoping that my boat gets its first fireup this weekend. My engine is just about installed and wired, just have to go and test everything now. then the carpet and seats..

BTW - when is a good time to bring my boat by for you to see if we could do somthing about my shine, or the lack of anyways...

I have been pretty inactive in these forums for the past couple months but I REALLY wanted to go to the regatta last weekend. It unfortunately wasn't in the stars for me.. My daughter had a dance performance for the American Cancer Society - Relay for Life fund raiser, which meant my wife and daughter were not able to go. I was still trying to bring my son who had a commitment on Friday night(I was gonna drive Fri night/Sat Morning), but we ended up with another event on Saturday that blew my hopes of attending.. I did quite a bit of work over the weekend as well..

It looks like everyone had a really good time, and I am so SAD that I missed it.. :(

Yes, and Yes!!

I went to Laughlin/Mohave the first weekend of this month for "THE BEST DANCE COMPETITION EVER" or at least that was my name for it.. The dads/boys spent both days on the lake while the girls danced at the casino and then met us at ~4:30 on Saturday and ~2:30 on Sunday.. And I splashed the boat a few times earlier in the year at Puddingstone....

Just give me a bit of notice on Catalina! :thumb: You in Vegas next week? I'll be there all week.

Yeah, but no one captured it running! Prolly because I was cruising (actually one motor out going only 40..) while you guys where racing...:D After Keith and his Dad gave my third motor the magic touch, I was racing too. Unfortunantely that took place in Willow on the way back and I didn't ketch up with everybody... next year I will have a lot of pictures of the back of my boat - I hope!:D:D
