I'd prefer to go to Lake Mead, but I'm afraid most of the days would be spent with a bunch of idiots at the launch ramps. Currently though I plan to launch early Friday morning and spend at least one full day on the lake...Friday shouldn't be too bad at the ramps, but I imagine Saturday's gonna be a total mad house. Thought about camping Friday night, but that's too much of a pain in the ass with the kids... Right about now a covered slip with a lift sure does sound nice.....

Lake Mead is not bad on Memorial. Go out of Echo and stay past the narrows and it is about like any other weekend. Sunday is when the idiots will start getting out there with rentals and bad attitudes. My plan was always go early Friday, stay till Sunday mid day then leave, clean boat and recover Monday. About the time they are getting there, I am on my way out!

Sat. morning- hit the ramp about 11:00, should be good and crowded. drink tons of beer, back to the Marina around 5, should be good and crowded and lots of rangers. Sunday, more of the same, Monday, do it all over again. Can anyone recommend the best Marina w/ the biggest crowds?:drinkers:

We are leaving for Echo bay Friday afternoon and spending both Friday and Saturday night at the marina. The upper basin is not bad at all for memorial day. We will be a Hallett beach and around temple bar all weekend and will be leaving Sunday afternoon.

Here is my exact plan almost to a tee. I will be lauching Friday (probably Echo) Staying at the Sandy beach towards Overton, thinking about cruising up to Big Sandy past Temple Bar on Saturday. Stay on the Arizona side Saturday night, then make my way back to the ramp on Sunday late.

Look for the 270 hallett closed bow in Vegas Hallett sig. Also have a 28 closed bow eliminator w/checkers on the side towards the back. Boat stays in the water overnight @ echo. I'll have a blue ez up up on the beach(hallett beach)

i need a refresher on the regs for going to the bottom of the dam. if i want to go up river this weekend i can only go on sat. correct? it's only open from tues. thru sat.? my folks are coming into town on friday so i don't know at all what our plans will be. if we go to mojave and plan on heading north, we'll probably launch from willow because it's considerbly closer than cottonwood. my mom isn't outdoors type so i don't want to make ride 50 miles one way up river.

We will be going thursday and launching at cottonwood, we dont know anyone so we will be out boarding alone, so if anyone notices a pink and purple caliber stop us.... we are looking for other boating friends..

we will be in the cove just south of the ramp, If we get there soon...

We were headed out - but some plans for our guests fell through on top of picking up some show tix from one of my clients. End result - probably no boating this weekend! BUT - lots of beer, pool time with the kids, and TWO shows - COLLECTIVE SOUL and BADFISH - GEE - wonder why I would want to go to those bands :)

I'll be putting in at Callville Friday...I'll work my way up the lake to where your at and spend the night. What "Sandy Beach" you talking about? Why don't you put in at Callville to?? On Friday there still should be plenty of parking..

Staying home and enjoying the 3 days off. Was in Havasu last weekend for 3 days and will be in Havasu next weekend for 3 days. Why do I need to put up with the circus of Havasu on Memorial Day? Have fun everyone. Look out for the idiots on the water and on the road.
