Mag or not?
The Mag has four bolt mains, forged crank, bigger connecting rods, JE Pistons....
Where are you going to go with the motor?
EFI or Carb, or blower?
If you are interested in aftermarket manifolds, I will seriously consider taking the ones off of my 454 and making you a great deal, they are the Stainless Marine aluminum manifolds. I'm building a new motor that will go beyond 450hp and some better manifold could help me significantly. The mercruiser manifolds suck, they rust away quickly and weight almost 90lbs each. KC

Its not a mag per sey. It started life as? but not mercruiser. Casting #10068286 made in 1990 (last of the Mark IV!http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif - It is a four bolt w/forged crank and dimple rods. Pistons are J&E or SRP (I know, same chit http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif ) .030 Blower pistons. Haven't selected a cam yet. Looking at running iron heads for now but would like to upgrade later to Alum. (running out of money-FAST) http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif Will be bolting a littlefield 6-71 on it running 1:1 (about 7psi) w/twin Predators
Defenetly want aftermarket exhaust manifolds. I had EMI (which are for sale along with a bunch of other SBC blower parts. Let me know if you need something and I will let you know what I got!http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif on my SBC blower motor and they seemed to work good. Shoot me a pic and $$ you want. Most defenetly interested.
Brian - Thanks bro. You got my Cell No?

My Stainless Marine manifolds and risers are six months old, no current pics on my pc but I will get some next time I go up to Havasu. The risers have the mounting flanges for the 454/502 electronics and throttle. Say $1000, all you would need is gaskets.
My boat has no head room and I want to keep the sun deck on the engine bay cover - so no blower for me.... http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

The risers are the standard ones.... I'll find more details. Your probably right, I backed away from the new whipple efi setup due to the cost... KC

Tee, I have a cast Merc bracket that puts the steering pump up high in front of the port cylinder head and hangs the alternator below that. I also have a s/s water crossover from EMI that has a -16 inlet (can also accept 1 1/4 slip on) and a 1/2 NPT bypass port.
I don't have your current numbers or address. Shoot me an email when you get a chance. If you can use either of the parts, I'll box them up and send them to ya. We'll figure out a price later... Hopefully I'll hook up with ya at the lake and drink all your beer!

Brian,
Cool, mark that stuff off my need list. You've got mail.

I have an aluminum water outlet for sending the water to your exhaust manifolds. I believe they are (2) ¾” outlets on it. I also have the aluminum water inlet adapters to match; again, I believe they are ¾”, if you are running a jet drive, or a seawater pump. See the photo below.

Actually the motor I bought is in a jet boat that I bought. I am switching to mercruiser bravo one. Thanks though.
Hey, the boat I am parting out has a bunch of polished Berkley parts if you know anyone that might be interested?
