Anyone up for a road trip...right now? 3pm Sat 27

Anyone up for a quick road trip to Havasu? It's 3pm, if we can get out by 4pm, 2 hrs down, couple hours there, 2 hrs back, we're back by 10pm or so.

I have never been, and just want to go down to check it out, see what the craziness is all about, see how to get there, how the road is, etc.

Hopefully you were able to go anyway! It is an awesome place to go. There is sooo much to look at: incredible girls, boats that you normally only see in magazines, and beautiful desert scenery. One recommedation I make for people coming from the Vegas area, if you get an early enough start, put the boat in the water in Needles. It is a beautiful boat ride down to Havasu (about 45 min.), through the Topock gorge and Devil's elbow (very cool rock formations and cliffs), past the "sandbar" (good place to stop for a break and swim) then through another gorge before it opens up into Havasu. Stay to the left a bit and you'll find the Channel home of the London Bridge!

Since I don't have the boat yet, we drove all the way down to check it out. My first trip to Havasu. Only spent a few hours there, then came home.
