Personally, I don't care what weekend it's on, I'll be there, but I know some of the family men can't just skip Easter. I'm down for whenever it is.

Hey Keith,
Can't wait to meet you and see your ride in person. Sorry I missed you at OP6C last summer. I had a family emergency and couldn't make it. I sure would like to get a picture of your boat and Steve (aka speedalleyracer) boats next to one another. It would make an awesome shot... even if you don't race him.

THAT thing is gonna be fricken incredible. At #550, it's already 225# lighter than mine, plus I carry all the regular stuff (anchors, people, etc). He'd put a whoopin on me. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
I think STV_BOY John is gonna come down though...and he has the same boat as me. His is yellow with a black stripe and custom interior.

The way the "weed wackers" connect and look they remind me more of the electric mixers you find in a kitchen! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Just out of curiousity...what's the fastest anybody has gone with an outboard powered boat?

Hmmm, well, I'm a young'n to be spouting numbers from the 70's, but I remember one guy went 170 something with a single Johnson V8 F1 motor back in like 78 or something.

Hey Keith,
I met John at BBSP IV last year. He also attended the Party/BBQ at my house in Havasu aka "Casa De Wood". We had a great time and he is a real nice guy. His boat is so clean... he keeps it like brand new.
Everyone last year would pull off the lake at the end of the day and meet at Havasu Barney's shop for jokes and Heinekins. Then we would all head over to my house to party, BBQ and eat Wicky's incredible sushi. It was really cool seeing all those beautiful boats and trucks in my driveway and along the streets near my house. We all had a great time.
It would be great to get a photo of your boat next to John's. I just love his carbon fiber dashboard. The Gaffrig gauges look so nice against it.
See ya at BBSP V, OP6 or just shoot me an email the next time you are in Havasu and we can hook up then.

Hey Greg,
No need to go fast... just sit on the shore with the rest of us and admire the babes that are attracted to this event.

Greg, sounds good. So far, I plan to attend Run Whatcha Brung 2 in Lake Elsinore in early March, BBSP in April, BETA in May and OP6 in June. I'm sure I'll see you at at least one event!

Since friday is a very "Special" day for Havasu Barney... Barney, Wicky and I will officially announce the new date of BBSP V 2003 as per your votes. As it looks now as per your votes... BBSP will be pushed back one weekend to April 25, 26 & 27. I included Friday because we all got together last year on Friday at Speed Alley and hung out that day too.
Truthfully, I am personally saddened that if BBSP is held the following weekend, it will be on the same weekend as the season opener of the ODBA races. This is very unfortunate for all of us because we will miss seeing SpeedAlleyRacer (Steve D.) with his brand new 300 Drag STV, his buddy Danny's Hot 2.5 powered Mirage and a few other really ultra fast outboard boats. They said that they will be attending the ODBA event that weekend.
Uncle Tony... You will probably once again be the "BID DAWG" of the event with your NOS Rocket Powered RapidCraft.
If you haven't already voted... Please do so and tell other board members so that we can finalize this event and schedule all the activities that we have planned.
Within the next week, we will post an itinerary or "Calendar of Events" for each day and night. I am working with Todd from Joker's Wild Promotions and Havasu Barney, we will be making T-Shirts with a new BBSP logo that you can purchase before the event. More on that later. I will start a new thread for that kind of information next week.
I haven't seen a 2004 calendar yet, but I agree with Wicky... "A tradition is a tradition" and 4-20 will live on in 2004 with BBSP VI hopefully on or near the 4-20 date.

HS, I voted for the weekend after, but I'm down for the one before if it means more guys would show. If I would have known that those guys would skip the weekend after, I would have voted for the weekend before.

I would have voted for the weekend before if I had known the Speedalleyracer et al. would not be able to make it to the weekend after.
I want to see as many boats as possible.
