that's a bummer, sorry to hear that! Make sure you keep us posted, I suppose it may change some opinions on manufacturers.
Anyway, just put the pics on the desktop or in a file so you know where it is. Go find it, double click so it comes up, and whatever program you have should have a re-size feature to it. Or just download paint shop pro, or adobe.
Later!

Have you been dealing with Alex at Essex? A vibration when you turn?

where do you have your trim set when you turn? It's rought on those drives, I suppose mine makes somewhat of a vibration.

In theory you are supposed to have the drive, I believe, at neutral trim for turns, perhaps even a little negative trim.

Alex is the person I talk to @ Essex. As I was slowing the boat the motor cut off and I could not get it restarted. I tryed netural, forward & reverse and it started in drive and there was a vibration and the moter or drive did not sound the same.. Alex said it is probally the netural swith ( whatever that is ) but I believe it might be something more than that but lets hope not. Ive had the boat in the shop more than out but some of it was the sister in laws boyfriend doing his damage to the hull the first trip out..but that has been fixed already. thanks for your advice about turning I will remember that. My trim when I turn is usaully all the way down. or close to it. Havasu Dreaming have a question for you......I have a drive shower on my drive but if I trim up and turn the wheel the corner of the drive shower hits the swim step Alex says they all do that but I find that hard to believe becouse my swim step bracket is bent on both sides. I think they must have put the brackets to close together.

Based on the pictures of your boat it appears to be a Sterling, right? If so, did you go with the 3 piece swim step? I only have the 2 piece swim step. Assuming you do have the 3 piece swim step I certainly could see top of the drive hitting the inside edge of the "outer" step. The "outer" steps of the 3 piece swimstep are actually wider than the regular 2 piece steps are. This is all based on memory of what the typical setup is for a 3 piece swimstep.

Yes its a Sterling and has a three piece swim step. the drive hits on the bracket where the third piece of the swim step rests on. I should have got the two piece step. live and learn I guess. Thx for responding.
