I just downloaded a file that was in Bittorrent format. So then I had to download bittirent. So now after I have downloaded it I get the feeling it is a p2p fileshare type deal. Is this the same type of shit as limewire and bearshare that is going to try to store a million files on my computer for other people to download? Never used it before and not sure what to think. Anyone use it and what do you think. Should I just delete it and forget about it or what? Or is it worth using. Also any security risk with it?
Thanks John C

Oh man....you are SCREWED! This program will take over your computer and you will never be ever to get rid of it. On top of that, it will make your computer run really slow and screw with your internet connection! Way to go! Good Luck! :Laugh_at:
P.S. Just kidding...I have no idea about this program! :rollinglaugh:

99% of the file sharing software will jack your PC. Not to mention the virus' that are embedded to the files. Some even let others gain control of your PC and they can rip any "private" info you have on it. Use caution!

yes limewire will store files on your computer for other people two download. Every time you are online people are downloading software or music off your computer. P2p software means person to person. Bearshare and limewire both do it. I thought bittorrent was diff, found out it is the same bs.

I would stay away from it. You don't want other people the ability to get into your system. It can't be worth the risk.

Limewire was the worst 2 years ago. Besides giving all there user list to the Gov. to track down illegal music transfers, it had bunch of virus'...

I haven't used Limewire in a long time, but from what I remember you can customize your settings so you do not share any files. You just have to run everything through a virus software that you download.
Torrents arent as bad as you think.. :D You just have to be aware of what your downloading and opening.. :D I use torrents quite often and have never had one problem.. Cant say the same about the other programs though.
