Man, just looking at them makes me want to get my boat backtogether as soon as possible! How many hours you have on the motor? When can you open her up? Didn't you used to get 116/117 on the old motor http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif

Great pics, Keith. I especially like the video where you were in a cove and then took off. Your boat gets up on plane FAST!!! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif

Best before was 97.5mph on GPS. Did that with a fuel limited 7000rpm, 29" Mazco. Looking for more this time as we believe we have fixed the fuel delivery problem. Also have a 32" cleaver coming for some top end stuff.

According to the guy that did the porting and block work, should be about 280hp, up from the previous 240. Woo HOO!

Man Keith, that thing sounds good ideling, I can image what it'd sound like doing a hundred mph fly by with vid cam rolling Â*http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Â*Be kind of cool to get all the boats together that are going to run the early run the 3rd and do an 80 mph tight fly by past someone with a camcorder!

Speed challanged? http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Nah, I've hit 114.5 and was shootin' for 120 when my drive broke in November (at 98 mph!http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif Just figured I don't know if I'd want to be up on the back 2 foot of my boat at over hundred with 11 other boats in tight formation http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif On video, 80 don't look too much different than 100+!!!!!

I know there ain't nutin' serious http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Â*That's what I like about this board!! I met a guy with the same boat, same horsepower, same prop and he ran the same as me, 114. I was looking at 34 Bravos, but he said try a 31 Hydromotive, he got 122 mph out of his set up. After bs'ing with him I don't have any reason to doubt him. Anyway, that's the prop I was testing when I broke my drive. The Hydro is a "stern lifter" and requires more trim compared to a Bravo prop. It was a little too windy to really trim her out the day I had the prop Â*http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif Â*I don't want to die just yet http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif My boat runs real fast under the perfect conditions. It's real weight and water condition sensitive. Anywho, the motor should go back in next weekend. Rebuild the drive....soon. I'm really looking forward to that early morning run at Mohave in May!!!!! Can't wait to hook up with you guys! We will be in Vegas for a concert Valentines Day Weekend, we'll be staying at New York New York, maybe we can meet for a beer!

craig, i like the idea of an early morning fly-by http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Â* although for you high hp guys, 80mph is not even breaking a sweat but for us (or should i say....me) stock guys 80 is all she wrote http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif Â* that would make an AWESOME video though!!!!

keith, i wasn't able to open any of the files, but that probably because i'm a computer IDIOT!! Â* i'll just have to wait to hear and see it in person. Â*congrats on gettin' it back together.

Rude, right click on the image name and pick "save target as"...that will save it on your hard drive. Then, go to windows exploder, find them and double click. I'll assume a .jpg file and .mpg file will be associated on your computer. If not, let me know and I'll walk you through the next step.

Great idea on the fly-by video! Â*Craig's right, 80 is enough if we're going to run close together... Â*These boats get plenty loose at high speed and sh!t happens fast. Â*Sounds like we'll get Rude235 to run wfo up front and then let everyone else form up along side? Â*This coud be fun!

Actually, my existing goggles do well enough. Â*For the really fast days, my old motorcycle helmet is being painted to match the boat as we speak, and Lifeline will shortly begin on a jacket that matches the boat for me too. Â*http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Kevin,
another thing to add to the list..... no problem....
we can lay out a few markers near one of the fingers, indicating the portion of the course that you will be video taping during the early session...... we'll get that to the guys at Brainlabor and have them add it into a video....

would be very sweet to have a few locations set up like this during the early session....

can you man one hillside and your partner in crime Kurt man another hillside.... are you guys qualified/certified to opeate a video camera?

Stupid question.... how can you have kids and NOT have a video camera??

good ideas!! KC

KC-You will have to talk to Kurt and see about his camera skills. I know he can play the trumpet, though. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif I have at least seen that, but his camera skills? http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif

For an analog camera like that you need to 'capture' it into a puter (make it 1s and 0s) so there is some quality loss. When its a digital camera, its more a of a trasnfer of 1s and 0s so there is no quality loss until you mpeg it.

If you want me to do yours, give me the tape and whatever adapter is need to play in a vcr.

Once you got it in your puter, thats when the fun starts. Add music, move clips, add still pics blah blah blah. Then, when your done you need to just render it out in whatever format you want, mpeg1 is just one of many.

To do all this, you need quite a bit of hardware/software. I use a dual processor machine with 2 gigs of ram, 100gig scsi raid drive and a canopus DVRexM1 editing board. When you have all those toys it makes it easy, but you CAN do it all on a machine with just software, just rendering takes forever!

Here are some clips i made recently, short thigns i do when im bored.
