Welcome egb to the boards and the group. I don't know how Overton is this time of year. I know it is really shallow, and there is a city that is normally underwater that now is above water. I think you'll be fine, but be careful, and watch out.
My wife and I must moved from SLC to Vegas - so I'm a huge fan of Jordanelle and more importantly Flaming Gorge. There's beautiful boating up there.
Like I said, we're one big happy family here, and I'm sure others will have opinions on where to launch and what to do for your inaugural trip to Mead with your new boat.

EGB, welcome the club! as is the custom around here, you MUST give us the scoop on your lake ride. that is an official club law, punishable by being forced spend the weekend crusing a flat bottom fishing boat powered by a trolling motor. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif welcome to the family.
thanks for having me looking forward to start winter boating. im tired of putting my toys away early. i have a spot at el nautica boat club on the west side of utah lake if any one ventures up this way let me know and we willgladly have you join us.
as for my lake rides i have a 1985 21 daytona eliminator merc 260 hp out board 1984 21 daytona eliminator 235 gt johnson. 1995 mariah v6 180 hp that is for sale. 1978 crusader tunnel v 454 330 hp bercley jet also for sale. 2000 crown line 26.6 ltd 385 hp dual prop volvo penta. i have been an out bord man all my life so the in board stuff is new to me.

good question. i have a sickness i cant stop. i need help. i am going to eliminate every thing exept the 85 daytona and the crown line. i guess i got carried away i love boats and spend a lot of time boating. the way i look at it its better than a meth addiction at least the family can join in.

i have had the eliminators forever.i bought the mariah for my wife she dosent like the pickle forks. then i came across the crown line for a good deal about 15k under book so i couldnt pass it up. so the mariah goes the tunnel v and one daytona then ill be where i want to be. not too much money not enough brains.

I wish we could help you with your sickness, it's just, well, we are all sick here with the same disease. Â*http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif
We're thinking about starting a 12 step program. The first step is we meet at the lake (any lake or river will do) and discuss said problem. So far, we haven't come up with any other steps. Oh well. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif
Welcome aboard!
