I hope to GOD I'm out there. Supposedly the motor was due back on Monday, but I haven't talked to Kevin yet. If it is, I want to get it together before the weekend and start on the break in. 2hrs at a time though...I might be going home by the time you get there. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Update, the block is STILL not here. UPS tracking says tomorrow. So Kevin and I are putting it 1/2 together tomrrow, and 1/2 on Saturday. I still hope to have it in the water Sunday, but it won't be for long (2hrs max per day).

We are going to this weekend. Sunday sounds great. I hope I have the fuel problem cured. Where are you going to be?
Ken
if i can convince my passenger to go, we'll be putting in at callville hopefully around 10 or 11. Â*from there, not real sure. Â*most likely head up through the narrows. Â*keith, keep me posted on whether you're going out sunday and about what time you'll be in the water and where you'll be putting in at. Â*if it's about the same time we plan to be there i'll make sure we hang with you.

Well, pulling up to the toll booth, it says 70+mph gusts (gale winds); however the weather was great today! Kevin and I launched the boat around 11:15, and spent an hour putting around at 3k or less. Got gas and did another hour. Still all is well. Had lunch and put a third hour on, this time at 5k or less. With my 27, it runs 55.9mph at 5k http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif At one point the throttle somehow http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif got pushed down and registered a 69.8 on the GPS. Whoops!
Anyway, the lake was great, almost no wind and damn near smooth. You guys should have come out! Oh well, maybe we'll hook up next time.

Rude, thats sweet 80.3 how did it feel? A couple of buddies said that they saw two very cool hot boats at sandy. they also said you guys were hitting some good runs. Was the water cold? they said you guys were hanging out in the water at sandy... When I hit about 73 I start to rock side to side and feel very loose, almost like I'm going to lose it? not sure why? deep vee ride I guess. I'm sure your ride was smoth...yes

My feet where frozen in that water! We were fine until the clouds came over.
Rude, I forgot to tell you. When you and LVADV left sandy I could here your boat for a good 3 to 4 minutes out of the hole. It sounded awesome, and you guys were going around the other side towards Calville. It sounded awesome!
aquaholic, it seemed to handle good. the water pretty smooth and i was getting a bit of porpoise but the longer i run the boat the more i'll get used to it. i'm still playing with the trim trying to find out the best place to run it at.
25 rage, it felt AWESOME to hit 80! that was my goal so i'm very happy with it. we were at sandy most of the day. what kind of boat was your friend in? there were a few boats out there that looked like they were camping. there was also a nice looking carrera tunnel that sounded VERY healthy. and yes the water was very cold! not that i'm qualified to answer any questions about fast v-bottoms but from what i've read it's normal for them to rock back and forth (chine walking). with my boat, if i put a slight turn in the wheel the porpoise goes away, it may work the same for you. i've also watched offshore racing where they'll steer back and forth to counteract the wobble. LV Advantage would be better at this one than i would.
LM1, i was wondering how loud the boat was. kim took some video of the boat a couple of months ago from LVHB Beach and you could hear a little on the tape. we'll have to do that again, i had a blast!

25Rage My advantage doesn't rock at all but i don't get anywhere near 73mph. what motor do you have in that? I really wouldn't know what would cause the rock probably pretty normal. do you have a small delta pad at the back of the hull?

jk, if you didn't know it already i was the crazy guy flashing his lights and waving at you on your way out of the park on sunday. it would have been right around 12:15 or so. as usual i was running late, but at least this time i had a good excuse. i had to apply first aid to my dog 'cause she snuffed out all 9 lives on a local tom cat. the cat tore her face up pretty good. but in the end, ares=3.....cats=0

25rage, we have a 98 25 scandia same boat as yours but without the steps in the hull and i can't hit 73 either .. but i'll run 65 and get that same chine or rocking feeling when i'm trimed up.... all and all though we have had our nordic for four seasons and not one problem yet, awsome boats.. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

25nordic,
I know you guys are thinking this boat cant or wont do 70+ with stock sh#t and how every one adds a few miles to the story but this boat GPS at 73 speedo said 78, I'm running a 28/4 bravo for the top end stuff, I have ran a 26/4 but loose all top end (68) but good hole shots. This chine walking thing realy freaks me out, a total out of control feeling, so I just drop the trim and she smooths right out, but falls off in speed (70) I do love this boat, turn key and go http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/insane.gif
25 rage, not sure how much net surfin' you do but you might want to bring up this topic on the rrx board. there are a bunch of nordic's in that group. i've always heard that the nordic hulls are way fast! sounds like the magazines weren't kiddin'. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
