I was working on the fuel system on the boat this afternoon, when my Bass Fishing neighbor pulled up and asked me how things went yesterday. Anyway, we started talking about propellers and I told him that I had decided to use the Michigan Wheel replaceable hub system, because it will work with almost all of the other replaceable hub style props.
He then walked into his garage, and when he came out, he handed me a 14” x 25” (4) Blade Stainless Steel Mercury propeller and said that he cannot use it. It looks brand new. There is not a nick in it. I removed the aluminum prop I put on yesterday and the Mercury prop slid right on the King Cobra drive and fit perfect.

I got the carburetor and fuel system fixed and we are going back to the lake on Wednesday and give it another try.

Sounds like a pretty good deal, Free. Couldnt you get him any lower on the price? Like through in a free 6 pack? http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

You are right. You would have thought that he would have least offered to put it on!

Hey, what the heck.

Like I said, I have a filthy boat to which I am still doing a lot of work. See, I can go to the lake and call it testing. That way, if it's a bad day, who cares.

If it's a stainless four blade that's worth (depending on the prop) anywhere from 200 - 400 bucks (used pricing)..

What kind of boat / motor are ya running?

25, is a pretty steep pitch unless your running some HP.

I am running a 24' Chaparral Villian III, with a Big-Block Chevrolet @ 450 Horsepower. Do you think it pull that prop?
