We are kind of a close knit group and the law come on pretty stong around here just because we dont want all the BS.

People are going to make fun of you and what you have till the day you die. It is all in fun. Once you get past this you will find that this is a GREAT group of people.

It is just your turn and your new. You were not here for the Tow me Home stories, Chris and knee boarding 45 MPH, my small anchor, T&Bs not being able to get in my boat, etc, etc. When you are dealing with the GOOD kind of people here, it takes a little to find out if you are wothy. It is our way of weeding them out. What you dont know is that the ones making fun of you would drive 200+ miles just to drink a beer with you. I know first hand.

Hey bro let me explain it like this. Go back and look at some of the post about me having 2 boats and only making 4 trips to the lake last year. These guys will give you shit about anything they can, but when you are out on the water they are a great bunch of people to hang out with. And as rh all ready said some of these guys will drive 200 miles just to hangout and have a coupla beers. So all I can say is just roll with it and have thick skin. Just cause someone gives you shit on the boards does not mean they will not be one of the coolest people when you hit the lake. Take the anchorman's for example they will give me shit all the time for not going to the lake. But when I head to the lake we always hangout. Just relax and have a good time. And try to meetup with some people. And first and foremost dont let a few people who are jackasses run you off.

Aqui es me dos centavos. I am PROUD to be a member of LVHB for almost 2 years now. There is no finer peeps in any organization out there as you will find here. A couple of us (individually) drove fom LA to Vegas round trip just to have pizza and beer on a Sat night. There was also a number of the members that drove to Vegas just to race karts and have pizza / beer. Each and everyone here will come to you with help in your time of need. I've seen it! We laugh together, drink together and share family sorrows together and BOAT together. The commonality here is Â*.... we care about fellow boaters. If the members here didn't care, they wouldn't respond to your post, offer to buy you a beer and throwÂ*crap at you. Again .... the group here is great and they welcome new peeps. Get it straight! This site gives you more shit than you can throw a stick at, at the same time though, they give you more help and support in any kind of situation (boating or not) than you can possibly imagine! It is a great bunch of people that will do almost anything to help another member out. Try to go to the lake, hook up with a few and you will very quick find out.

A couple of items in your post...

First, why are your kids on the site? Yes, this is a family orientated site, but the membership rules state no one under 18 years old on the board. Moreover, I am sure they have heard or seen much worse at school or on TV.

Second, you are miss quoting me on my post, it was not directed at you, it was for another member who was complaining about the board and seemed to want it more like Hotgoat. If you go to that site and do a search, you will find the two posts there that you & I mentioned drew a lot of drama. Drama is something we do not want here.

Third, you do not have a clue why I was in Florida, maybe if you fully read the post you will see that my connecting flight from Mexico to Las Vegas was cancelled and we were stuck in Miami. You make rash assumptions without knowing the complete facts.

Fourth, we are a close-knit group as mentioned before. EVERYBODY has taken a hit on this site; it is part of the closeness of the group. People bend over backwards in helping each other out. Several times, I have comp'ed rooms at casinos for people here, got them rooms at other casino in Laughlin, and gave NASCAR tickets away that I could have sold for big bucks. I needed help with motor pulls and had D4$ take time off on a SUNDAY spend a couple of hours in the heat with his backhoe. We've hauled parts from St. George and Vegas down to Havasu for people for free so they could save some $$ on shipping.

Fifth, I doubt any member of this boards has not got any sort of ribbing on their boat, there have been numerous pictures posted that have been photo chopped, along with members being photo chopped. Do a search on Kev's picture or T&B checking out some guy, or the beer can trail to his house.

I would have loved to read the messages in your posts while I was gone, but you have removed the text in them, so my judgment is made by the current posts and by members here that I know and trust.

If you stay, you will drop from the food chain and some new rookie will come into the spotlight.

One of the biggest bitches on the site, is someone that comes on the site and their first post is SPAM. This puts off most members. A brief intro of yourself and boat, where you live, etc goes along way...

I've been reading the posts concerning this and I have to admit, that I'm as tired of it as everyone else. This site is Drama free in comparison to the other site and I enjoy that.

I understand where the newbie mistake was made on the spam, and am willing to forgive it as well as the jokes made at someones expense.

The vast majority of the people here would go out of their way to help out a fellow boater, and am glad to be a part of it. Ultimately, someone is going to poke fun at something you own or do, but the thing to remember is that it is just that, FUN. It seems like some of us need to relearn that.
