I know you could use another project to take up some your free time so I was thinking you could put together a LVHB calender that we could hang in our garages. It would probably start a pissing war with who gets put on which month but I would buy a couple of them from ya.

Yea, me too! Good thinking D4$ ! I did that one year, made a calender of my friends and I doing the different sports we like to do throughout the year. It turned out awesome. Not very expensive either.

Hmm, great idea! As Prez, I designate D4$ and RL to undertake this project http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

RL, if you've done it before, how did you do it?

i have already thought of it and have already started to put things together for it. i don't know that i would be able to get it put together before the end of the year but i'll try (i know, that kind of is the whole purpose of a calender but the idea hit me a bit late...sorry). to anyone that has any picks they would like in it please email them to me, jdirig4703@aol.com like D4$ said though, there are only 12 months in a year (although i am planning on making it a 13 month calender to cover jan. of '04)

another idea for the calender, for those of you that want certain pics in it i'll try to put those pics in whatever month you want (or if that turns out to be to complicated i'll use them as dec. or jan. or something). i'll try to get something put together quickly 'cause i'm runnin' out of time. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/stare.gif

Well, when my buddies and I did it, we went to Kinkos and had them made, however, to get the good looking ring binded kind, glossy color photos like you're used to seeing, they run about $22 per calender. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/stare.gif They offer different styles at different prices, like the whole year on one page with a big photo on top for $8. I'm sure if we shopped around we could find it cheaper somewhere else.
Maybe VBD would know how to do it ourselves, and help Rude.

Rude, so you're already in progress on one?

Some months could have pictures from the regata so that it has pictures of mutiple boats on it to keep the whining down. My prowess with the computer is a little less than average(ok, a lot less than average) but I will help out with whatever I can.

greg, i am in the initial "checking things out stage". i've checked a couple of places and the problem so far is going to be that some pics most likely will be on a disc while other my be actual photos. and oh yeah, the cost is way up there from what i've found so far. but i'll keep checking.

Thanks Rude, I would love to do it but I'm just slammed right now with my studies.

Rude,
Any updates on how the calender is going.......or is it GONE!
If it's still in the works maybe you can use this pic for Dec or Jan.
Yes it was a VERY cold day on the lake http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

well here's what i've found out so far (and i'm still checking), the cost of a calender is going to run in the neighborhood of $30-$40 EACH. i don't imagine there would be to many orders for a $40 calender. but like i said, i'm still checking around and would still love to make one but it probably won't be until next year. SORRY GUYS! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

Ouch! 40$ seems pricey! Maybe we need to recruit a copy shop guy who boats http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

not a bad idea http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif i've still got a couple places to check out though, but as for now i think the calender idea is dead in the water http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

Still pretty pricey but Kinkos is $22 each. Better! I'd pay that for a calender of our club. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Have you guys looked into office depot. They do a pretty decent job of doing the calenders for around $20 ea.
