Never been there but would like to check this place out. How is the boating / water levels? Good marina? Any decent accommodations? Restaurant? etc? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Oh and how is the typical weather in mid september?

The launch ramp is usually pretty good regardless of lake level, and they have a good coffee shop and bar. Marina is not much. Its a nice trip up to Big Sandy or down to Mid Point. Water usually pretty nice, camping over on the other side can be good depending on lake level...

Temple bar is a great place to get away from the busy part of the lake. Ramp is pretty good. Resturaunt and store is a hell of a walk due to water levels. Great coves around there as well. Going to your right thru the canyon towards big Sandy is a nice cruise. Check it out, I think you will like it. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumb.gif

Seems like nice people there, there gas price is about $0.50 more pr. gallon than Vegas, but hey, somebody gotta make a living out there. I check in with them every now and then on the approach into Vegas (thay have a unicom frequency), and seem like very nice people. Water level being what it is, it will be a long walk to any bar, not floating right now..
