We'll be gone by then. We're going to try to have a crazy-free weekend. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumb.gif

I got my A$$ handed to me last night, about 3:30 am the wind started, pulled my anchor, put my boat on the beach, kept blowing could not hold my position, had to drive around for awhile, and ended up tying off to the floating sh!t house and taking a nap waiting for the rain to stop. Turned out to be a wonderful day, but that was one hell of a night.
Ready for bed now.

I knew this was going to come up. Let me start off by saying that I was not prepared for winds that came in. I have a large anchor I use when I know it is going to be bad, and I have the small anchor (rated for 24' boat) I normally use for ease of weight and size. Also I was tied off the stern at the beach, so the winds were blowing the side of my boat instead of swinging straight into the wind the ropes were pulling like this \_/. Also I was not at the full reach of scope, so I hate to blame the anchor, more the users fault. They were both box anchors.
I think most of the night could have been prevented, but of all the times I have stayed on the boat, this is the second worst night I have seen at mead. I was in the very back of a long curvy cove and the wind still got me.

Ya, the boat is fine. It never actually made it to the beach. No damage just still tired from the lack of sleep. That's ok though I took the whole week off.
