OMC 800 Sterndrive question

Hello, im wondering if anyone knows if a steering cable froma OMC 400 will fit on an OMC 800. Its perfect lenght and from the images looks to be exactly the same. Im just wondering if anyone here works on boats and happens to know if they interchange...

any help would be great..

Should just be a Morse or Teleflex cable. At lease it is on Merc's...
