Here's one that I'd say Larry was on the edge, a little too much trim. The boat went a little higher on this one, but even if he ran like this, a good side or front gust and things will get "interesting" real quick! Straight diet of 100LL av-gas http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif That allows us to run 9 pounds of boost with 34 degrees of advance without any fear of detonation. We can go all day on the fuel our boats carry and then in the morning we're back at Circle K getting more gas beer and donuts http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif It's 2 bucks a gallon, but worth it for the piece of mind that you have good fuel

yeah, i was able to get that one posted. Â*it's a pic that i had scanned in from a developed 35mm photo. Â*i think the problem is that the pics from my camera are to big or something. Â*i emailed a few of them to kevnmcd and he was able to post them just fine. Â*not sure what the deal is, i'm still working on it. Â*and i think it was two of those motor or two 496s (bone stock i might add) that pushed a 28 daytona LP to 100+. Â*not to shabby on stock power. so in all seriousness, what would happen to my motor if i ran 100 octane through it? would i see any gain in performance or would i just blow something up?

You probably wouldn't see any difference. You only want to run a high enough octane to prevent detonation. The higher octane is sort of slower burning and dyno tests have shown that you can actually lose horsepower by running too high of an octane. I ran a good running street car (12 seconds) at the drags all the time and after a good afternoon of time trials, figured lets put some race gas in it and go faster. Didn't see a thing on the time slip even after a couple of extra runs. The wallet was just lighter. Now if you bumped the timing or were carrrying real heavy load or it was real hot out, it might help a little, but all in all, save the money for a Whipple http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

On the picture deal, I don't know if you've ever tried Thumbs Plus? It's a good picture manager with a full thumbnail section and you can do simple changes easy. I always shoot on higher resolution. Then if I print them out they look good. If I want to send them to a web page, resize them down to 640 X 480, save them as a lower quality to get it to about 100kb.
