once we get down to las vegas, what the proper procedures to register our boat and trailer?any extra fees involved to use the lake?

You need DMV, as Greg suggested, for registering your trailer. To register the boat, you need to go to Nevada Division of Wildlife (http://www.boatnevada.org/register/index.htm).

My boat is still registered in Ca, and I haven't lived there in almost 3 years http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif I just use my parents address - but that's good info Keith, I supposed I'll have to register it here eventually.

I can't believe that! Do you still pay the property taxes on it? That should be big money for you. Only ran like $40 to register mine for the year.

unfortunately yes, I pay them in CA, and register it there. It's something like 400$ a year or so if I remember correctly. Maybe I need to just register it here.

It would be way cheaper Greg. I'd imagine if you have insurance on it, it might be cheaper here as well.
