I'm getting ready to put new rims and tires on my Expedition. I have Goodrich At's on now and am familiar with the Bridgestone Duellers, but the guy at Tucker Tire is pushing Falkens. Does anybody have any experience with them? Thanks for the help! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Why not stick with the bfg's?? I've run them for years and won't buy anything else. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I'd stick with the BFGs also, or Toyo makes a cool looking "Open Country A/T", and Nitto has one called the "Terra Grappler" that I like a lot.

I used to run Bridgestone dueller at's. no problems at all, quiet also. BFG's and Bridgestones are both great tires. Falkens are a bit less expensive. i don't have experience in falken truck tires. i have had falken car tires and no probs.

Has that thing ever seen the dirt? Â*Have you ever used the 4 wheel drive?Â*http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif Â* Â*j/k Kurt. Which ever brand you go with, I would make sure that you get a tread pattern that is good in snow http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif and dirt, as well as on the road. Â*But you don't want something that will hum going down the road, either like a mud tire. Â*I didn't know Falken made an AT tire? Â*I have only seen there road tire.

P.S. Thanks for your help yesterday and today. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Thanks for the info. I suppose if it ain't broken, don't fix it. I have had great luck with the last two sets of BFG's I've had. I was just curious if there was something else that would give me a better ride on the road with out giving up the performance of the BFG's. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

Kevin, believe it or not, I've had to use the 4wd at Park Moabi a couple of times. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif
And you are most welcome - hope you guys had a great time! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Dunno what you use your truck for the most, but the Dodge Ram's that we run at work are offered with two different tires - the BFG All Terrain TA or the Michelin LTX.

I can say while they are both good, the Michelins don't wander like the BFG's do on the Dodges, and they have way better life - like double!

Just another direction you could go.

The funny thing is, BF Goodrich isn't even making tires anymore. Haven't been for a couple of years now. Completely in the aerospace mfg. scene now. Want to take a guess at who is building all the BFG's? How about Michelin? http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

I have some of those fine firestone/bridgestone tires on my truck. Less than 12000 miles and less than a year old. Sidewalls checking on all 5 tires, one leaking through the checks.

I run Michelins on my Expedition and they are smooth and quiet. Much more so than the stock Firestones, and it doesnt roll over anymore either.

I have been happy with the Michelin LTX 40,000 + miles and still running strong on my 2500 Cummins.
