OK, At the suggestion of a few folks, some on this board I took my boat in to have color sanded. Â*Picked it up and looks a whole lot better. Â*The guy there says don't wax it use 3m hand glaze when it gets dirty, says the wax will yellow on gel coat. Â*Looks a lot easier than waxing but I hear everyone always saying keep a nice wax on it and wipe it down after you take it out of the water. Â*I figure I can use the Hot sauce just to get the hard water off. Â*Opions?? http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/dunno.gif

It will yellow if is a cheap wax and you dont do it regularly. I have used wax on my boat 7 or 8 times a year with no bad results...except slippery when you walk on it. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/beerchug.gif

I don't know about you but I love to wax off. Helps stop the build up you can get from just waxing it. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumb.gif

I use 303, 100%UV and no build up. just spray and wipe. I am also using hot sauce for the after water wipe off.

Hvae not waxed a boat in about 10 years, but I have not kept a boat more than 3 years so I do not have history of fading. But I do know that if a boat has heavy fade/bleach it brings out the color again.

I use Driven wax and it has never yellowed. Makes it much easier to wipe down and the end of the day and with a little Hot Sauce the water spots just disappear! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I use this http://washwax.com/ on both my cars and boats. It doesn't yellow and it keeps the water spots off. If I do get water spots then I use the Hot Sauce from Boat Bling.
