Cool, we definitely get together. If you're one of the "real" boaters that will get out when the weather is still chilly. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

There are still parts of the lake I want to explore - maybe that will be a good chance.

There are some cool spots that I have already been to (wishing well, cathedral cove, LVHB beach, Sandy, the dam, etc). We can do a lake day easy.

So, what kind of rig do you have?

Where are you from in NE? My x-wife is from up there. Beautiful country (when it's not covered in white stuff), but not much to do.

we have a 2002 26 daytona, 500 hp with a whipple, its still in the shop getting the last of the tuning quirks out, can't wait to try it out on some real water. all we have up here is muck, i figure it should be at least 60 mph faster in clean h2o, i sent a pic to greg to post in the readers rigs. were definitly all season boaters, most of the time were out at the beginning of spring whenever the temps get above 60-65, still need to know where to put in at?

I like to put in at Cauville Bay Marina (N36 08.421 W114 43.327) as it's on the North end of the Boulder Basin. From there, I normally go East, through the Narrows to Wishing Well (N36 08.414 W114 34.893) or up to LVHB beach (N36 10.768 W114 26.607).

If you are going to be living in Henderson, you'll be much closer to either Hemenway or Las Vegas Bay Marina (currently being moved though).

i always put in at calville too. the ramp area there is nice but the water level is pretty low so you have to go way down on the ramp. that sounds like a SWEET ride!! i just looked in the pic gallery and greg hasn't posted it yet. what kind of speed were you getting before you put the blower on it? if by chance you are going to be around in the beginning of dec. we are going to havasu for the parade of lights. welcome to the neighborhood!

rude 235, before i put the blower on i was radared at 77 mph during our river races, that was with a 24,4 blade, the boats still not completly tuned but with the blower we got 96 mph at 3 lbs of boost and 5000 rpm running a 30, 4 blade, we had to shut down cause the external steering was fishy, thats why its still in the shop, they say it just needs the hydrol;ics bleed?? after i move down there which wont be till the end of january, i'll need hooked up with a good mechanic th do any fine tuning with the alt. change and wheather changes. any suggestions? wish i could make it for the light show, oh well we can wait another 2 months, we got all this snow to enjoy for the last time in our lives

i'm not sure how long you've been watching the boards but greg and his better half just moved into a new pad so they've been pretty busy the last month or so with the packing and movin' gig. i should hopefully be hooking up with them this next thursday. i've got a 500efi with a 28p 4 blade. as far as top speed i really don't know yet. i've only had the boat a short while so i'll have to get back to you on that one. i've seen 73+ on the speedo. this is the first tunnel i've owned so i'm trying to take my time and learn the ropes with it. what do you mean by the halloween boat, is it black and orange? as far as a mechanic i highly recommend dunsmore custom marine in boulder city, nv. that's where i take mine and beach bum (2000 25 daytona w/ a 540) also takes his. he was tom gentry's crew chief for many years and is very good with blowers/turbos from what i'm told.

party, naw these folks NEVER get together to have parties.
just name the place and time and you'll proably end up with more people than you'd expected at your pad. if you have some pics of your boat saved in your 'puter you can post them on the board. just go to the browse button on the screen where you type your posts and click on the file you want to post. it does have to be a jpg file though. if you're computer stupid like me you can email the pics to somebody and they'll get them posted for you.

Aquaholic iv, I am out of Denver and spent several weekends in Nebraska last summer as you guys have all the water. Good luck with your move me and the misses keep on dreamin about moving down but something called a job has me tied like a ball and chain to this fridgid country. Do you have a good boat shop in Nebraska that installed the Whipple? I plan on my own install but it would be nice to have a resource for fine tuning if I need it.
