Got up at five and went to work. Got home at 3:00 to find a blown up water heater. Just got done changing it out. What a pos day http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif Â*http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/traurig001.gif Â*http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/traurig001.gif Â*http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/traurig001.gif Â*http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/insane.gif
F&ck I hate days like this. Hope everyone else had a better day then me. Hopefully I can finish this 6-pack before the water gets hot enough to take a shower and go to bed Â* http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif

Sorry to hear this. Glad that your up and running. The last change out I had on a water heater was on New Year's Eve at 3:00 p.m. To me that was a "true" POS. But anytime you change out a water heater is a POS day.

Ph I belive you are right. So I have now switched to Baileys on ice. No point in wasting fine beer. I belive I can drink more baileys in a short amount of time. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I am already in a better mood http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/drinkers.gif

Sorry to hear about that. It's bad enough having to replace one when you plan on it, but not when it happens like that! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

Had the same thing happen to me 2 years ago. Went out into the garage to leave for the office at 5:00 AM and water all over the garage floor. Had to call ServiceMasters to dry out the downstairs bathroom as the level of the water heater in the garage is the same as the floor in the laundry room and bathroom...water flowed into the house. $1,700 later I have a new water heater. I feel the pain.

I know its to late but to anyone else, they have tankless water heaters that are on demand, and unlimited hot water. They are used all over europe. I know it doesn't help you out now but maybe someone else might benifit from it. Best of luck!

Yea, I saw them while I was out getting myne but I was unsure of how well they would work. Also there was quite a price gap from the 117,000 btu unit to the 175,000 btu unit. Almost $500 and the dipstick at home depot could npot tell me anything about them so I just went with the biggest water heater I could get. Anyone have any info on them? http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/beerchug.gif

A friend of mine installed one at each end of his house(he had 2 water heaters )and gave me a demo. Yes they cost more, but there is no pilot light on all the time, and he never runs out of hot water, as it heats it as it runs through the heater and he saved a ton of space. I've heard they last almost forever. I've seem one made by Bosch, so I suppose there is lots of info on there web site
