Ok Instead of our normal vacation this year we are headed to Cabo San Lucas. Anyone have any good tips. We have never been before so any thing will help. Such as good places to stay and things to do. We are not fivestar resort type's so we want to find a quiet place by the water. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/Thanx.gif

I go every year down there, we always rent a house while there. Â*You can go from a 1 bedroom beach villa to a 15 bedroom palace on the hill. Â*I have found that it is much cheaper to rent the homes then stay in the hotels. Â* I have stayed at this one here a few times here is the link....
Villa Mira Flores (http://www.cabovillas.com/properties.asp?PID=76)

If you decide to stay in one of these places, shoot me a pm, i can get you discount off what they are offering on their website. Â*This house is located in Cabo San Lucas in Pedrogal ( gated community on the hill overlooking the marina) Â*you can walk into town very easily. Â*You can also stay in a home in San Jose Del Cabo, no nightlife there but the beaches are very nice and your are closer to the airport. The homes are also cheaper to rent there. Â*Both cities have a nice grocery store and you can get whatever you want there. Â*In Cabo San Lucas there is Costco in town now!
You will have about a 40 min ride from the San Jose Del Cabo airport into Cabo San Lucas.
Make sure when you go down to the beach in Cabo San Lucas you go to the Office. Â*It is a really cool bar on the beach, lots of talent there!

Make sure and do some scuba diving. We go every year and are changing it up this year and going to cancun instead.

When I go down we stay in San Jose del Cabo. It's about 15 minutes from the airport and 45 minutes north of Cabo San Lucas itself. The reason is we are there to fish first and foremost. Our fishing boat departs from a spot about 10 minutes away from our hotel - El Presidente (more on that later!http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif - so we save an hour's boat ride from Cabo to get to the same location to fish for tuna. At night we taxi into Cabo for dinner and entertainment. San Jose del Cabo is a quaint little town compared to Cabo where you can wander the cobblestone streets at night and visit the various smaller restaurants and bars.

The El Presidente is an all inclusive (See This (http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ic/1/en/hpt/SJDHA/2/pt?ptLink=hd)) where everything including the booze is included in the nightly room cost. They take VERy good care of use there including storing our fish on ice each night. Highly recommended.

Whatever you do if you miss the fishing you are missing out on a spectacular event. The best tuna and sail fish fishing maybe in the world depending on the time of year. Cheap too. When we come back into port after all day on the boat we stumble to Pepe's on the beach where for $3.00 US Pepe cooks our fish and provides rice, beans and tortillas. Plenty of cerveza and tequila as well.

Cabo is a great place! Have fun.
