Here is a tentative schedule of events:

Friday- check in at echo lodge 6pm on, look for pump her or myself ( at check in you will recieve childrens raffle tickets, purchase poker run hands (poker run hands are $25.00 for the first hand and $20.00 each additional hand per boat), pay for group photo $20.00 per boat and purchase 50/50 raffle tickets $1.00 each)

Saturday- 7:30am till 8:15am- check in continues
8:30am group photo and speed runs
10:30 - 1:30 poker run
2:00 - 4:30 kids games and fun for all
5:00 pm kids raffle, poker run winners and 50/50
7:00 pm - bbq at echo lodge campground and many drinks and good times

Sunday- Happy Fathers Day


June 17-18 LVHB Regatta, Echo Bay on Lake Mead. Â*There will be a BBQ dinner in one of the campgrounds there in the evening. Â*I will all the hotel tomorrow and let them know the date, please reference Las Vegas Hot Boats when you make your reservations for the discounted rate. Â*The phone number for the hotel is Â*702 394 4000. Â*I know this isn't going to work for some people but I think it is the better option. Â*I hope everyone can be there. Â*Details on the days activities soon.

Now who can bring a grill or two, the way we did it a couple of years ago we had sooooo much food everybody just brought a little something and it worked out great so who's bringing what?

Best Margarita competition.
Aerial boat/group photos.
Activities for the kids during the day.
Poker Run.
Test rides on the new Trident deck boat?

<span style='color:yellow'>I'll be there Friday, lets meet in the Echo Bay Hotel bar Friday night for some drinks and good times. Â*Saturday morning we will need to meet up pretty early around 8:30. Â*We found a pretty nice cove North of Echo last Saturday. Â*The coords are N36°21.690 Â*W114°21.632, Kurt says it is Glory hole on the map, it's about 5 mile north of Echo Bay. Â*There is a nice beach here I think think it would make for a good photo if we all rafted up. Â*This is where I'm going to have the helicopter photo guy meet us. Â*More details on that in another thread so it doesn't get lost. Â*Here you will receive the locations for the Poker Run stops, I have some from the '04 run but may try to come up with some new ones on Friday. Â*I don't remember how much money we have kicked in in the previous years I'm thinking $40 first one $20 each additional. Â*The last stop will be a nice long run down to LVHB beach at, N36°15.361 Â*W114°24.808 (somebody may want to double check the coords on that for me) Â*Here the beach is beautiful and has a nice flat area for the kids games that Mrs. Just another Payment has been setting up for us. Â*Hang out have good times for a while. Â*Sorry I ddin't have time to set up a raffle like last year. Â*As the day winds down lets head back up to Echo and have a BBQ dinner. Â*This will be in the campground at Echo. Â*I'm sure you will be able to find us. Â*I'll start another thread on whats to eat. OK a proposal has been made and sounds good to me. Â*Were going to make the photo fee $20 per boat, any extra money collected will be put into a 50/50 raffle. Â*20% of the money collected will go to LVHB to pay for the next year operating expenses. Â*We will also sell additional tickets @ $1 each.Then we will pay out 2 winners. Â*As motivation to get you all out there early one winner will be from the group that was there for the photo only and the other for everybody. Â*So you do have the chance to win the whole thing if you show up for the picture, and buy extra tickets.

You can actually beach your boat on the fuel dock side of Echo bay.

Take a look at this map. You can beach the boat and still camp with everyone else/attend BBQ type thing.

OK it's all set up for the group rate. Just be sure to tell them you are with Las Veagas Hot Boats for the discounted rate. I didn't think to ask how many rooms they had available but she didn't say anything when I said we may need up to 20 rooms. By the way I got Friday, Saturday and Sunday(not sure if we will be able to stay through Sunday night, but she said be safe and reserve it and you can always check out early without penalty).

We'll do some sort of poker run and I'd like to do a raffle like Kurt did last year. Anybody thats wants to donate to this would be great. If there are going to be lots of kids there it would be nice to set up some stuff for them to do like Beer Hunters kids day last year at Havasu.

I've never been to Mead so excuse me for my stupid questions.......How far is Mead compared to Vegas? And where is Echo bay in relation to Vegas since I will be probably heading up the 15N or is there another route I can use.

Head up 15N and exit Lake Mead Blvd. There are 2 of them. One is on the south side of town and the other is North. I think the only exit on 15 is the correct on. If you are coming from Cali, then you HAVE to go past the strip and all the big casinos. Exit Lake Mead and go right. DO NOT STOP in this part of town until you are going up the mountain!! Follow all the way till ranger pay station, pay, proceed till road ends and you can go either right or left. Go left towards Callville bay. There are signs. About 24 miles past Callville is Echo on that road.

Holy crap, I've been there and you still lost me. Â*From So. Cal. to Echo bay I exit the 15 north at highway 146/St. Rose Parkway. Â*Go right, take that to the 215 and go East, right turn (this blends the 146 and 215 together) freeway ends in a few miles at the Fiesta Hotel and becomes Lake Mead (I think it's drive). Â*Continue straight ahead untill you hit the park enterance. Â*After entering the park you will make a left turn and follow that road to Echo.

Still debating whether to bring RV or just motel it. Can I get a slip (22'er) if I camp or can we just beach it there by the campground. Also I mentioned in earlier posts that we could use our RV for food prep if I got help launching and bringing boat back in. What I need is for another vehicle to do that as the RV is diesel pusher and all the elecronics are some what in the back of the coach and not that high up of the ground. Couldn't find a 6" lift for the RV. Suggestions?

Yes a slip is no problem for 22', I think it's $16 a night. I'm sure someone would dunk it in the water for you but you don't have to bring the RV, we've done without before, up to you.

I wouldn't want to pull through sunrise mountain if you have a big boat, it is a killer hill for about 6-8 miles. There is a Lake Mead Blvd and a Lake Mead Parkway. LM Blvd takes you through the "hood" in North Las Vegas from I-15. Lake Mead Parkway is in Henderson. I use to pull that way (sunrise mtn) but it is faster for me to hit 215 and go via LM Parkway and then pull through Mead rec area, easier pull better roads, places to pick up food, gas up, etc.

That is better than pulling the boat to Echo "my .02" and you get to boat from the south of the lake to the north.

The road to Temple bar is not that bad. Just long. Speed limit goes up and down and if rains be cool as there are lots of low water crossings. I am sure it has to rain quite a bit, but be careful. Temple launch is pretty good as well. Echo bay from Temple bar is only 20 miles by water. I am not sure how far it is by land from the turn to Temple but I bet it a little bit farther than 20 miles!!

Make no mistake, I'm thrilled. Just wanted to know how much gas $ to bring. Unlike you, I didn't get to boat more than a couple of days all last summer, so I plan to put some hours on the boat. I'll show up early and get my sight seeing done before Saturday if we plan to hang out somewhere.

Only improved camping site on Mead that is like that. All the rest are up the road aways.


See the hotel? The cut that is even with it? Go one up from it and that is the campsite. Couple of years ago it was iffy. All the water needed to do was come up just a few feet and it would have been good. Might work for someone that doesnt want to, or cant pull their boat out!!

Going through bullhead way there is usually no traffic, you go 40 south from barstow and then take the searchlight exit and that will bring you between boulder city and Henderson, take 95 north to henderson and you can stay at the fiesta henderson, then take lake meade dr to the cutoff to caulville and echo. We will be leaving Thursday night about 7:30 pm., if you guys want to , you are more than welcome to stay in bullhead with us thursday night.

Sorry guys, I've just been slammed at work lately. Yes I would like to do a raffle. I had planned to get over to the Vegas area by now and hit up a few boat shops etc. for some donations but just havn't had the time. So anyone that has any connections or time to stop by some places and ask for a little something it would be great. We also need to start to plan whats for dinner. I'd say everybody bring what you want and maybe a little something to share with the group, lets make a list. I think we have comitments from 2-3 for some BBQ grills. I have called the photo guy a couple of times and he has yet to confirm with me. I need to start hammering him a little bit or find someone else I guess. I am going to try to get over there to Mead, maybe next weekend and see if I can find a nice beach. Last time I was there I was at a pretty good one north of Echo, about half way to Overton. Think I have the coords. in my GPS and see if it still nice and if it is big enough for the group, or we could just do it down at LVHB beach. Just south of Overton is a huge beach on the Marina side. It is sandy and can fit huge amount of boats. I am still pissed it is Father's Day weekend since my buddy has a Trailer in Overton Marina. I could have got him to go. I am still working on it.
