Did little THOR get a new big truck to play with? http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif That thing looks clean, I like it!!
No new one for me. I found this on another site and thought it would inspire you.
Did it?

I don't need anymore inspiration. I'm going to go broke, actually, I already am, so I'll get even more in debt! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Trinia and I went looking at some Off Road places yesterday and found too many things we are going to do to it. I already installed a new air intake which looks awesome and runs much stronger (and louder). I'm talking to VBDs brother right now about installing my amp and subs, but I need to slow down and pick 1) do I go nuts with the truck and lift it and do everything else I wanted to do to it, or 2) do I get the boat redone this winter (new paint and interior) so it can be looking like a "sweet ass" Schiada like it should for the May 3 event?

Tee - Sweet lookin' truck dude. I like those Super Dutys a lot, they look so "buff", for lack of a better word ! Is that an 8" ? Do you tow a boat with that? What do you have?
Ducky - maybe THOR and I could plan a trip to go ride out there sometime, you do know that's about 5 hours from us? http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Hey Tee, nice truck, should pull that Sport Cat around just fine! Â*I'm a little concerned about the height though, looks even taller than the front of Art's 34... Â*A guy could get hurt falling off from that altitude! River: Thanks and - Yea I tow a 22 Sport Cat with it. Look in the "Lurkers, Jump in" thread That picture was taken shortly after I bought the truck. It had a 6" susp and 3" body with 39's. It was illegal in Utah. (yet another reason I should move to PHX) I had to pull the body lift off and drop down to 36" tires. Legal now, but no new pictures yet. Still looks cool though.
Brian: Not quite as high as Art's 34, But I have fallen out of it http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif Didn't hurt to bad though. Are you going to get poster size of the "Mini-Me" picture I saw awile back? Winterizing the boat this weekend http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/insane.gif (and still another reason I need to move to PHX) Still might make it to the Hot Rod run at Mead the first of Nov though.
Brian

Tee, don't winterize, just move on down to Phx, we'd love to have ya! Get ready for a big temp adjustment though. It's @#^$%&! hot here all summer.
I'm not sure those digital pics that I took are high enough quality to blow up into a poster. Magic saw them and contacted me to do another shoot with the two cats both on and off the water. They used a much better camera so I'm kinda waiting to see how those turn out before deciding on any large prints.

still looks pretty stock, at least put you bike in the back so
we know why you don't have any money to lift it http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
River: -- I sold them. I believe you would need some "Seriouse" lift to get 39's under your truck though.
Brian
10-18-2002, 12:08 PM
RiverLife, if lifting isn't an option now you could run some 33x12.50s as long as you keep the rim width to 8" and at least 4.5" backspace. That's what I'm running on a stock height HD (bars cranked up a bit though). It looks nice but not as trick as a lifted HD with 35s. Unfortunately I can't lift my truck because it wouldn't fit under the garage door if I did!

Yeah, I am planning on the new FabTech 8" with some 38s, but I'm going back and forth: do I redo the boat (new gel and interior....... it needs it!http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif, or do I do the truck? I can't make up my mind. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif
Maybe I will just run the 33s for now to lose the stock look which I can't stand, do the boat, then do the lift later. I might find I don't even want the lift later................... probably not http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Has any of you ever put 8" woofers in a truck. They are telling me that is all I can fit without doing a lot of cutting which I don't want to do, and I was curious if they would sound good enough. I don't need to sound like Shaq rollin' down the street, but I like to "feel" my music.
BTW - this is what I'm aiming for height wise, in the future:

Cool looking rig there.
Only thing with buying wheel/tires now then lifting later is that you may want to replace the wheels again too. Â*With the lift, you can run a wider rim that will give that deep dish look and let the tires fill out a little more. Â*Hopefully you could sell the 8" rims and not lose too much. Â*Here's a shot of mine for reference; you can decide if you can live with shorty 33s! Â*FYI, they are 33x12.50 ProComp ATs on 17x8 Centerlines.

Hey RL a little late on this post but is your looking to put 8's in your ride you should be able to put them in a box that will fit under your back seat.
I have a buddy who has a 99 ford x-cab. he put two 8's under the back seat easy.
The guy's boss who installed them has a '02 crew cab ford.
he has 4 10's under the back seat with no modification.
If you need modification I can do it. I had an '87 toyota reg cab pick up with two 12" woofers.
had to build custom box, and remove alot of braces in the back of the seat, but damn it hit hard http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Appreciate it duck, but I've been talking to VBD's brother and he is going to build me a custom box with a fiberglass bottom so we can put two 10s under the back seat. I don't know why all of these shops were telling me no way! You just gotta get creative and go custom.
Thanks for the thought!

My buddy has his speakers facing down. Don't know what it does to sound quality, but it protects the speakers from when people sit in the back seat
