This is cool functionality that works on the RRX website but is frequently flaky here. I like being able to read all of the posts I'm interested (all of them!http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif and then press "Mark all as Read" on the entry page to the forums. This SHOULD set a "cookie" I would expect that remembers something, so that when I return I can then click on "New Posts" to see what has been posted since the last time I visited. Frequently, like today again, this just repeats the same list as I just received and read. It doesn't even work when I haven't left the site. the RRX site works both when I am still there or I completely log off and then return and log back in. I don't know exactly what is being set - I only assume that it is a cookie that enables this. It is very handy - when it works.

Sorry about that guys. I've really put D through the wringer with BoatXchange. He's been working nearly non stop on that. I know we're going to add a forum there soon, and a new one here also. Bear with us fellow boaters http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Still doesn't work... http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif Much too much trouble to sort through what I've read and haven't read...makes coming here less desirable!

This particular version of this free forum software has an issue with cookies. RRX has a different version which turns out to be a more stable release. Once I get BoatXchange where it should be, this forum will be upgraded. Sorry for the inconvenience.

In the mean time, completely log out of the lvhb forum, then go to the "tools" section in your browser menu, then go down to "internet options".

Click on "settings" in the "temporary internet settings". Then, click on "view files" and this will take you to all the cookies you've collected.

You will have to click on them to see the full filename. Find all cookies that have lasvegashotboats in the filename. In your case, you should have two or more which is what is causing the conflict.

Delete them all. Now log back in, and this should set a single cookie for the site. This should work. There are so many different variables involved to single out one conclusion. This helped another member that had an issue with cookies so it's worth a shot. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Yeah well they better hurry or I'm gonna stop paying my monthly fee. Isn't $100 a bit much just to get on a web site http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh.gif

Thanks, he totally customized the forum on BoatXchange, and I think we'll get the same here when he has time.

DB, quit whining, I'll discount you to 99$
