well what is the date so i can sponge another ride from some one. I know someone who happens to have two boats right now. I'm sure if I throw down a couple of Abraham's he would let me use it. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

Hey all, Its been a while I took the new boat to Laughlin this past weekend. Boat ran great. Brought the inlaws and the sister in law and her boyfried----> (who says he knows everything about boats and has been around boats all of his life.) I'm sure u know where i'm headed with this. The boyfried was driving my brand new boat and we spotted a cove on mojave just south of the basin that looked real nice so I asked him to check it out. We approched the cove and I had to remind him to trim up (real expert boatsman). I hopped up on the bow of the boat to jump out and check things out but before i could jump out this a*****hole gasses it and beaches the boat without letting me check things out so needless to say my boat is back @ essex getting some glass work done, luckley its only going to cost me 500.00. But wait it gets better. So the boyfriend had asked for a trash bag, so I gave him one and later found out he used my anchor locker to store empty beer cans and did not bother to use the trash bag....But lucky for him I was in a good mood and let it slide. After all that we got up the next morning and we were heading out on the lake and noticed that some *$@#^%^&& had hit my 6 month old Lincoln Navigator and smashed the front end a did about 1200.00 in damage without leaving a note of cource, so we ate that exspence. We stayed @ the Colorado Bell and they are working with us to see if they have it on film. But other than that we meet some cool people out on the lake. And cant wait to get back out there.

Dude, I feel ya! Last trip to Havasu, some a#$hole hits my freshly installed lightning front end, and rips/scratches the bumper cover and bends the bumper. No note, nothing.
People suck! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/angry.gif

True, there just nothing to stop people from doing this, unless you sleep in the boat and hopefully catch them in the act. Next time I will have to seek out a safe parking spot. But besides all that i had a good time and put 8 hrs on the motor so it wasnt a total loss.

BADFISH II

damn, that does suck. Well, a weekend on the water is better than no weekend on the water! Sorry to hear of the mishaps though, and I'd never let the boyfriend back in my boat! I hate people who have no respect.

Well the day after we got back he dumped her for the second time so atleast we wont have to worrie about him anymore. Now the inlaws finally see his true colors and dont think much of him now. The sister inlaw needs so damage control but she will be ok.

There is no way that I would be able to stay cool with that. I doubt I would get irate, but a little talk would go a long way.

BBum, Lightening front end on the Expo? Are you running a K&N filter kit? Not just the filter, but the whole kit?

I don't mind letting friends drive my boat in the middle of the lakes, but I just don't trust them with it close to shore. Now I know why. Sorry about your mishaps, jr.

Would this be because of the "THOR" issue? http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

If he was on Thor's boat, he would have just sat there, still, drinking a water, and not F'ing things up http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

damn jr, sounds like you had a rough weekend! like greg said, at least you were on the water. so how much damage is done to boat when you beach it anyway (assuming its a sandy beach of course)? i never really checked on my nordic but i haven't really decided if i should beach the new ride or anchor just off of the beach. opinions?

I had some scratches that went to the fiberglass. The cove that he beached it on there were alot of rocks. So from now on I will anchor off shore unless there is a nice sandy beach.

I beach if it is sandy. The way I look at it, the bottom of the boat is never seen up close enough to make me worry about the scrathes. In time I will have the bottom sanded out at Essex to make it "whole" again, but I don't stress it too much.

I have a keelguard on my boat. I'm totally sold on it. They are not too expensive and now my wife doesn't bitch when the water is cold. I can beach it and not be uptight about scratching the gel. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

jrgaudettes

Essex has suggested the Keelgaurd so I am thinking about adding one. And thats true when you wear the gel off the bottom just have it redone.
