With Christmas not too far off, I need input as to which handheld gps is better than the rest. Â*I don't need the top of the line model, but want the most for eddaceebob's buck. Â*Thanks for the tips!

While there are cheap ones out there (<$100), I really like my Garmin GPS3+. It does just about everything you could want. If all you need though is basic info (map, speed, altitude, etc) look up the older GPS2, 2+ or 3 on Ebay.

I carry several Garmin models and some Magellan models from cheap to expensive. I'll beat anyones advertised price. Let me know what you want to get and I'll see what kind of price I can get you.

Thanks Art. I have checked your prices and given your website to my wife. If she doesn't get me one for Christmas, I'll get her one!

GPS V Deluxe (the regular GPS V is no longer in production)

Your price $405.99 plus shipping (usually runs around $8.00) for a total of $413.99. Â*No tax since you live outside of Arizona.

You may also want to consider the GPS 176 for just $30 more. Much more is included and you get a larger screen. Call me if you have any questions.

What does the 176 do that the 5 doesn't? And what features of the 5 do you lose going to the 176?
