Okay folks....

We can't agree again.. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif What do you all think the trailer color should? The new boat's colors are mainly white with a grey and blue (both with fades and a little sparkle dust tossed in) swooshes with a lime green accent. I am leaning towards a blue trailer to as closely as possible a match for the base blue of the swoosh. The wifey thinks white would look better because there's so much white in the boat...

So...what's everyone's opinion? (remember this may not be democratic

Blue, for two reasons. First reason, Â*every phuckin trailer it seems is white. Mostly because it is the easiest to take care of since most people tow long distances. However, you two, like us, only tow at most 5 miles, except on rare occassions. Second reason, use the blue to be different and match one of the colors in the boat. It will look much nicer on a blue trailer, behind a white truck, than on a white trailer behind the white trcuk. It will will add some color.

That's what I love about the yellow on our trailer, don't see too many yellow trailers.

Which one do you think is better?

Yellow:

or

White:

EDIT: Not lime green! You do that and me and the boat mexican will spray paint it ourselves! Â*http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rollinglaugh.gif

Blue, for all the same reasons HD gave.

You might consider going with a galvatube trailer as well. I paid extra for mine, and I have no rust on my trailer after over 3 years of use. And I did dip it in the salt once as well.

Money well spent!

Blue--hands down. Second choice- gray. Never white--to plain and boring, especially on a $1XXK boat.

BTW- I really like the graphics http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Can't wait to see it.

It's an Ellis - only used by a few select boat builders - Howard and Shiada, I understand are the highest profile! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Are you getting a steel trailer? If so, make sure you rinse it good if it goes in salt.

The boat will NEVER see salt water. Strickly a lake boat. I have no desire to take it into the big blue!

Not that anyone cares, but with our old boat, I had the trailer in black to match my suburban.

The new truck is white. That would be the only reason why white is in the running other that my better half likes the white. All of our cars are white as well.

Thanks guys...the better half said blue can be the color but we won't select the exact shade until the hull is popped from the mold and sanded so we can get as close as possible to the same color as the boat's blue.

Good choice going with blue. I went with blue on my trailer also. Congrats on the new Howard. I dig the graphics.

We have simular colors to your choices... I wanted a dark grey/gray trailer and the hubby wanted blue!!! We got blue (which is both are favorite color) now hubby wished we would have got grey!!! I have a dark blue Expedition... It looks great together. There is alot more blue trailers in our area... I have only seen a couple of grey trailer!!! just my .02 http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrinbounce2.gif
I don't think you will go wrong with either!!!!

I voted for grey!!!

This is a rough way to be introduced to these boards.
For the record "The Boat Mexican" thinks all boat trailers should be black. Darker colors always make LIGHTER ones look better..... http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/beerchug.gif

Given the choice I'd spray it with some sort of colored Line-X bedliner type stuff...that way after a few years it not all assed out with a bunch little rock chips and rust...
