Here I am,, minding my own business this morning.. Leaving Phoenix on the bike and what happens??? A damned airplane has to make an emergency landing in the median about 1/4-1/2 mile in front of me,, and smacks a tractor trailer rig. Tied up traffic, made a mess out of the road,, I tell ya,, just my luck,,

(Oh, and the pilot ended up with only a broken leg)

Too weird! I remember when I was a kid and that seemed to be happening all the time. Now it's pretty rare.

Just before I left the office yesterday, I happened to catch the traffic report online and it said there was an accident on my normal route home. While driving towards the freeway where it happened I heard on the radio it was actually a car-to-car shooting where they thought twoo people in a car got shot. Turns out it was 1 peep and the other was hurt in the accident that resulted when the driver got shot. This is on the 110 freeway in Gardena. Well, I know the streets well enough around the area to know how to get around the problem spot to avoid the backup. Not too bad...

But...this is the second shooting recently in almost the same location...110 freeway north of the 91 intersection. Makes me wonder if it's better to spend the extra 1/2 or so and take the shorter trip home via the 405.....shorter distance, longer time and is it really safer or will I end up out of my mind with boredom on the freeway?

Traffic sux....can't wait to retire! 4 more years!
