weather this weekend

So, from the weather reports on the internet it looks like this weekend should be nice. What is the local weather reports saying?

We will be driving up from L.A and I am not sure if I should go to Mead or Mahove? Is Mahove as rough as Mead when the wind blows?

My preference is Mead out at Temple Bar

Mead and Mojave are different kinds of rough. Believe me, I speak from experience. I would much rather be in Mojave than Mead for really rough days. Mead is much bigger and the swell are deeper and further apart, whereas Mojave has chop that is closer together and not quite as deep. In addition, if you are close to Cottonwood you could go up river and get out of the chop all together.

Mead is awesome this time of year, mainly because school is back in session, it is a tad cooler than in the middle of summer, and less people in general.

I echo what Thor said.

The weather is beautiful today. Actually got some rain last night, but that's mostly cleared out now. I don't think we're going out or I would say we'd have to hook up.

The weather was perfect this weekend. There was no one on the lake this weekend. We went from temple bar to sandly point and saw 3 or 4 boats. It was great and the family had a blast.

That kind of weekend is why I make the long and crazy drive from L.A.

The weather was awsome, water was perfectly calm. Was at wishing well most of saturday and sandi beach, got some great pics maybe ill post em later.

Mead at temple bar is a great place if your really just tryin to get away from everyone, and its a short ride over to the gregg basis to see even less people. Havasu aint the place to go if your tryin to get away from people thats for sure.
