I'm pretty pumped! I just received a fax saying my new Chevy has been ordered. The only lame part is I have to wait about 6 weeks!!! It is going to be a tow animal. I got the 2003 1500 HD 4x4 Crew Cab with the 6000 V8 and 4.10 gears.
Here's a pic of me and my dog http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif with the truck:

Whatcha gettin' at Thor? http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Either you want his Truck, your you want his truck to tow your car, either way RL is in demand http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif
Did you get the quadrasteer thing? I want that, but can't afford a new boat let alone a new truck and the boat comes before the truck, which isn't soon http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh.gif

Thanks for the kind words (most of you http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif ). This thing has a lot of mods in store for it. I have a bad/expensive habit where I can't leave anything stock.
For those of you thinking of buying a new Suburban or Tahoe, keep in mind that all of there trucks and SUVs are moving toward the Avalanche styling. All the 2003 trucks got it, and the Suburbans and Tahoes are getting it next year (2004 models). That is what I ultimately wanted, but I didn't want to buy something now and in a year have it look old, and the trucks are pretty kick ass anyway........ IMO!
Greg, I didn't get quadrasteer but those things are cool too. They're offering those for $11,000 off sticker price and 0% financing right now!
THOR, does that mean I can be in the Elim. club? http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Hell yeh brother.
Am I the only poor bastard here with no new stuff. I thought my stuff was sweet until I start hangin' here.
That's it, I quit.

Let see here....1996 Suburban (101,600 mi), 1983 Eliminator.....Nope, nothing new here, THOR. Maybe we should start another club? We can call it..."Poor Bastards With No New Stuff" Club. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Sorry, a Ford man here ......Have an 02 Navigator and it pull the s*it out of anything......
Kevn,
Yep, we have another club to start now.
Jrgaudettes,
Your navi pulls great? My expedition sucks a$$. I thought the navi was a ford. Are you in socal or LV?
jrgaudettes
09-10-2002, 08:11 AM
Im in socal and you are right the gas milage is the worst....We had an expedition before this and it was way better..The wife and I are really dissapointed in the Navigator...But im still loyal to Fords...........For now anyway or atleast untill the AC goes out again.
jrgaudettes

The navi has 300 horsepower a little more than the expedition.

I love my expedition, it's got the 5.4, and I can tow my 25' with nooooo problem. It actually tows better than my 94 chevy crew cab dually with the 7.4.
I should send some pictures- it's kinda cool. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

I wouldn't really say that I'm loyal to Chevy, I almost bought one of the 03 Expeditions! Â*I was actually sitting there ready to buy one, but then the guy started lieing to me so I got up and left............ then I remembered what THOR said about his so I felt better. Â*I think FORDs have a very cool look though.

When you're ready to fix that bad boy up we should talk.
I've always wanted to do one of those full throttle 12" kits!
RL,
didnt mean to talk you out of anything.
BBum,
post some pics man. Come on.

I like the new expeditions too.. should have bought one of those. But mine runs fine now that it was in the shop for the last two weeks in aug. AC went out and steering wheel climate control went out and we have only had it for 5 months. The dealer we took it to was Citrus Motors in Ontario, CA there service is beyond bad and they just seem not to know wnat customer service is. Took them 5 days to order a steering wheel from there parts whse in LA which was 40 mins away. Just passing on a lesson learned.

No, the salesman did that! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif You just gave me your opinion.
BBum, I was thinking of the new Fabtech 8" with some 37" tires. Those 12" kits look pretty sweet though, but I think those are custom fabrications which can get spendy. Let me see what my bank account can handle and we'll see. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
I've already got two Fosgate 12" subs and a 1000 watt amp that's going in. Then of course some exhaust, K&N goodies, etc.
Beach Bum
09-11-2002, 08:48 AM
That Fabtech 8" is nice!
BFG now makes a 37" that will accommodate a 17" rim that is nice, and Nitto makes a 37" that will accommodate an 18" rim, which would be real ice!
Let me know when you are ready for rims and tires, I can do a pretty good deal for you.

I will DEFINITELY be calling you! I plan on doing a lot of stuff to this truck, so anytime I can save some ca$h would be cool. Can you get deals on just wheels and tires or other stuff too?
I most likely will start with other stuff first; stereo first and foremost, then exhaust and K&N gear, then......... probably the lift around March. We will be talking though. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
