I went 100 mph yesterday!

Funny story. Â*We went out to the lake both Sat. and Sun., but yesterday, we get on the freeway, running a bit late as usual, and pull right on behind a 26 Howard Cat. Â*We followed for a while, I pulled up around just a little to get a better look, but we followed him to the exit at lake Mead.

We both pull off, him in the far right lane to turn left and I'm in the middle, we pass him. Â*He starts honking and rolls down his window to show me he had a picture of my boat in his car printed from the website. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif Â* It was funny. Â*They ended up launching at LV Bay with us and cruised out to Hot Boat Beach. Â*

Needless to say, I obviously wanted a ride in this Cat with a 850HP Super Chilled Blown Teague engine. Â*It was a 1998 26 Howard Cat, the first one out of Howards production line and in a 1998 issue of Hot Boat.

Frank (it was his boat), is a super cool guy and took myself and two of my friends from Cali out for a ride.

TWO WORDS - IN SANE! The only other Cat I've ridden in is BBums 25 Daytona. They ride very similar, but the Howard leans to the inside more when turning. Â*Frank pushed it up to 100 mph, said he's gotten 106mph top end before.

It was a blast! Â*Thanks for the ride Frank!

That was a good looking boat but i didn,t think youguys were in it long enought to get 100 but it sounded good from the back and i went a little over 60 in my pos but in a 18 foot jet thats good for me!!!

I have to jump in here. A few years back my mom bought a ride for me, my brother and dad (for Father's day) on the old Dick Simon 39' Scarab. It had triple 1000 hp motors and we ran from Newport to Catalina to Long Beach then back. At one point I saw the speedo pinned at the 125 mph mark and he had some throttle left. It was unreal to catch air in a boat that size going that fast.

Sounds like fun Craig! Greg, 100 is really moving, and 95 ain't that far off. Takes big HP to get there with an I/O, and even more in Mead! That really says a lot about how much power he has.

Hey, Greg & Kurt, it was great finally putting some faces to the post's on Sunday. Great day at the lake, water was the best I have seen on Mead all year, even though it was a big weekend. No lines at the launch ramp either. Not what I expected for the big weekend. Looking forward to getting together at the next function.

The easiest way is to put the picture up flat against your monitor, and in the post type "capture pic from screen" and it should take it and put it in the posts.

However, if you have it digital allready, your screwed. GOnna have to take it to a shop and have them print you out hard copies and do that.

Not that I know of, make sure the extensions are right on the file (.jpg etc.), and that there are no spaces or funny characters, just letters.
