we had fun, except for the sinking....
It was A VERY ROUGH crossing in the morning.
Worst water I think I've seen. Basically I think the harbor-master was about to ask to see our pilot licenses when we got to Avalon http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif
I wasn't the only one getting light though, one of the boats in the group was a 38' Top Gun and I could see both props when he passed me http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/Wow1.gif
I ran 40ish most of the way over and got tossed around quite a bit, airborne quite a bit,rained on, etc no water over the bow or anything though. Some of those mofos are nuts, I could barely see them in the distance and I wasn't about to throttle up. I didn't believe it, but somewhere on the way over the GPS bumped 56, must have been before re-entry at some point because I don't think that pig will go 56 trimmed down, tabs down and part throttle http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif
It was calmer on the way back, we ran 35 give or take and had a beautiful ride. Wild Lavey and some of the others that go often said the conditions were bad going over, that its often much smoother. Will definitely do it again http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumb.gif

Any talk of when another Catalina run may be? I am starting to regain weekend time as my daughter finally had her annual dance recital and soccer only has 2 more weekends.
