Who is the best at doing installs on boats? They have to be creative to figure for sub placement and multi amps. Does anybody know someone local?

I've had good luck with Audio Excellence for pick-ups but I haven't used them for a boat. The owner used to have a 35' Fountain that he parked in front of the stores for advertiseing so they might be competent with boats.

I'll be curious to find out Rich, make sure you post your experience with the audio install here!

BTW, mention to them I'll advertise for them on this site, if they cut LVHB members a discount, see what they say.

BTW, for any of you who need stuff here locally, I'm all about helping out members here - so run it by me first (basically just boating related stuff like the stereo, etc.), but if you like, just say I'll advertise for them if they kick down discounts for LVHB members!

They used to only have a store at Eastern and Sunset but now they have at Rainbow and Westcliff, Sahara and Arville, and I think another one but I'm not sure where. Used to be you could go in there and talk to the owner or installer, not just a salesman. I haven't used them in a couple of years so I hope things haven't changed for the worst. I know when I used Audio Express they did a shitty job and I brought it to Audio Excellence to get it fixed.

Audio Express did my truck. They didn't want to put the amps where i wanted, just slapped them down on the floor. I guess that is why they are the KIngs of the $1 install(you get what you pay for).
Talking to the installer is a MUST. I don't want screws sticking out the side of the hull. And finding a place for the subs is going to be tough.

hey D4$, that fountain you're talkin' about was at sandy this last weekend. it's SWEET! i wasn't close enough to tell if it was bumpin' or not though.

Wow, I've never seen that fountain anywhere except car shows and parked in front of their store. Wait, one time I seen it at Havasu but it never left the slip all weekend from London Bridge Resort. Rude was it windy Sunday? It looked like it might be kind of rough.

i called the weather line before we left the house and they said it was supposed to be 10-15mph. we got out there about 10am or so and it was a bit choppy but not bad. we ended up at sandy all day until about 3pm. by then it was HORRIBLE! i'm glad i wasn't all the way over at LVHB Beach! we were "hangin' 10" on several occassons http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif if i had to guess, afternoon winds were probably closer to 15-20. there was another boat out there that i'd never seen before and it looked like it was right off the APBA race course. it was at least 35ft (probably more) and i think it had 24/7 on the side. beautiful boat!

There's a guy that goes by "StressCrack" on the boards. His name is Jason and he sells/installs audio equipment.

He sold some stuff to a couple of buddies of mine and cut them a very good deal. The install came out pretty clean as well. I believe he lives in vegas, but not sure.. I see him in Parker all the time.

I will see if I can find his website and put a link up to it so you can check it out.

That 24/7 boat is a 38 Baja. The guy owns 24/7 limo service. It is an awsome looking ride.

BTW, The 24/7 boat had an incredible stereo in it. He pulled up on sandy and had it cranking, you would think you were at concert in the Thomas & Mack.

RD- Definitely let me know. I'm thinking the install is the most important part.

Rich, I agree with you the install is VERY important. Â*

If you didn't mind towing it out to SoCal, I'd take you over to the place that I swear by. Â* They've done most of the louder stereos in Parker. Â*

www.performancewiredforsound.com

Everyone that I've recomended to them has walked away above and beyond pleased. Â*

He did mine and I took first at the Nordic Regatta Sound off this year.
He also did the PartyCat that won the Advantage Regatta's stereo competition last year, and I'd be willing to bet one of the PartyCats he did the stereo in takes first again this year.

would that partycat be OC partycat i see it is forsale. I'll be at the Advantage reggata so i'll check it out. How long does he need the boat for the install. If you don't mind me asking for a system similar to yours How much dinero roughly.Square or Rounds?http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif?j/k I know your answer.

No I don't think it's OC PartyCat, but it might be. Â*

I just know that Adam has taken down the last few Advantage regatta stereo comp's and I took down the Nordic one. Â*

Depending on how complex ya want to go I would think that he would need the boat no more then a week or so. Â*

If you want fiberglass enclosures glassed into the hull with back lit neon amp racks etc.. it might take 2 - 3 weeks.

Ya know since I built my system in stages I can't really tell ya how much it would cost. Adam would be a better guy to ask that then me.
