When I was in Havasu this weekend my driver seat and Passenger seat got blue on them from my shorts and my buddy's shorts.
Kevin...I think I remember you saying that this happened to your seats a while ago from someone sitting in the bow.
Anyway, I could not get it off..... anyone have an idea on how to clean it and/or prevent this in the future.

One of the more popular recomendations on here has been the Gojo hand cleaner with pummice.

I use the GoJo and a nail brush to work it into the seat grain - followed by 303 protectant. Use lots of water to rinse the seat to remove the grit. I keep two buckets of water in the boat when I do this...one to rinse the first rag to remove the majority of the grime and then a clean rag in clean water to do a final rinse. I also use for quick cleanups Simple Green. Essex uses a spray foam called, I think, Powershot but I've had a hard time finding it.
Have Essex clean the seat as a good will gesture for all your trouble.

303 protectant is great stuff, just make sure that you get all cleaned first. It will work sort of like wax -- any grime left and it is harder to remove for it is protected by the protectant. Marine Clean-All works pretty well too with Essex502's method.

If the gojo doesn't do it....Goof-off will. That is what I used to get rid of the trunk stains. The only problem was it cleaned it so well, that everything around it looked dirty. I can still tell where I cleaned it with that stuff. I have never found anything that cleans as well as that stuff did.
P.S. Always wash trunks before wearing them on the boat. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

If for no other reason than you don't know who might have tried them and before you AND what diseases they may have! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

It's called Powerhouse. Comes in a red and white can. Essex sells it in the parts department. You spray it on and just wipe off. Obviously go back over the area with a good vinyl protectorant as E502 suggested. Also, we took E502's advice and used the GoJo, stuff works great! It's actually better for getting into the crevices of the vinyl. Buy it at Costco and you get 3 bottles of the stuff.
Also, if they can't get ehe oil stain out to your satisfaction, ahve them replace the vinyl. They did that for me when I ripped it one time.

I used to be able to get Powerhouse from Home Depot but they dropped it. It is available directly from the manufacturer. It works very well except doesn't get into the grain. Maybe Powerhouse with the nail brush? http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Vortex,
I had the same issue with a friend who had got into my boat after swimming, who had a light coating of dirt on his back. We went on a 20 min boat ride and when he got up it stained the back of the seat from the dirt and sweat. I b!tched and complained to Ultra. To this day I still have the stain. Tried Gojo and it wouldn't take the stain out. Of course it has worked on taking other stains out of the interior. Give it a try. Definitely wash your towels and shorts before laying it down or sitting on the interior. I always make people use a towel now before they sit.
