Kevin at Hot Boat has a list of our 19 boats attending this photo shoot. Â*I expect a few more, but 19 confirmed now.

He wants to know whatcha got! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Â*If you got a sweet boat, with custom work (engine, stereo, whatever) post it here please so I can get him the info.

For example, Beach Bum's rocket hauls ass! Â*BB, I need your info (I think it's a 540 right?), engine, drive, top speed, etc. Â*Thor has a sweet system, Whatcha got in there Thor? Â*

Me??? Â*I'm plain old run of the puppy mill, nothing fast or boomin about my ride, my paint is custome which may make the grade??? but some of you out there got the $hit so let me know here http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Â*http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Â*http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Well, I have a 540 ci chevy, 650 HP, with a Bravo 1, spinning a 30 pitch mercury four blade, with 1.5 gears. Full hydraulic steering to the helm from IMCO, custom everything, nice stereo, etc, etc, etc...My boat was built by GT Performance of Montclair, CA.

Nothing "sweet" here............... just rare! Oh, tons of special engine work, but still not that fast, just pretty loud. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I agree, beach bum's rig hauls a$$. I believe his engine was done by Dunsmore.

RL Schiada is a Schiada and those are rare and totally bitchin.

LM,
One of the best gel coats I have ever seen.

My rig, Eliminator Egde, 454 Mag, 400 HP, 1.5 gears, and way too slow for me. But, my system is kinda cool, Pioneer deck w/ over 600W, custom box under wife side (of course), and plenty of CDs to bump.

I probably got the lowest powered ride of the group...only 240hp. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Dunno...Kevin might have me covered now - at least until I get my rev limiter removed.

What have I got..... a nice little project!

1998 Eliminator 236 Eagle XP Mid Cutty/Open Bow
7.4 MPI 310hp Bravo 1 22p

My ride is not the fastest on the water with a top speed of 56mph, nor across land with a top speed of 105mph behind my rig. But I can run for most a weekend on one tank of fuel!

Appointments include an Alpine head unit with XM Satellite, CD and MP3, supported by 800 watts and numerous speakers throughout the interior. Each speakers has an individual sound enclosure behind it to assist with the open air accoustics. The stereo and amps are pushed by their own 4D battery that lasts approximatly three days before requiring more juice. Monsterous battery switches allow the stereo battery and the cranking battery to be shared or singled out. One of the best gadgets on the ride is the Garmin ETrex Ledgend GPS, don't leave home without one!

Within the engine bay, the 7.4 MPI is sporting a set of Stainless Marine headers and risers. Everything is protected with Amsoil Sysnthetic lubricants. A Halo drive shower does an excellent job of cooling down the Bravo 1.

Future enhancements will include an engine upgrade to a 502 MPI 415hp.

My ride lives within one of my six storage bays located in Lake Havasu, making it an easy commute between Los Angeles and The River each weekend.

Gotcha, the link didn't work, I tried to find it on that site but no dice, hard to get around in.

Anyway, that's what I assumed, but wasn't sure. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Yes. It help prevents the crusty white chalk like substance from building up on the drive.

Hot Boat did a test a few months before I ordered my Essex and the results were something like a 25-30 degree reduction in the temperature of the drive oil.

You can get them from Eddie Marine and install them yourself. Eddie Marine (http://www.eddiemarine.com) Plus they look kind of trick.

Essex asked me why I wanted a drive shower as they didn't think it was too important! They said: "You only need it if you're gonna' run around the lake at WOT all day." And I said: "Why do you think I put that 502 in it?" Duh!

I'm impressed with the speed you get out of that 502. Nice!

What's WOT?

RiverLife

Well I might as well post what I've got then.........

1982 22' Schiada Day Cruiser (introduced in 1984, I think mine was the second one ever out of the mold before they were introduced). Only work so far is the engine, everything else is stock and original.

Corvette 350
EMI Thunder headers w/ 4" SS tips
JE Pistons
Clay Smith racing cam
650 Holley Carb.
full MSD ignition
bored 30 over
ARP rods and rod bolts
full roller rockers

...... all that work and it still only has about 400hp and a GPS top end of 62. LOTS more work this winter!!!!!!!!!!

(W)ide (O)pen (T)hrottle. If the 502 was in the Vortex hull probably would pick up a few more MPH since it seems that hull is more efficient.

HD - to do that I'd have to go to full hydraulic steering as it's not safe to exceed 70 - or so I'm told - without it. So, we make sure and fill the tanks and coolers up before we leave to dock to make sure we can't run much over 70! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
