Dr. Marg give me a call 702-429-1699. I have been running 1 to 30 million dollar projects. Mostly medical projects the past 6 or 7 years. I need to re-do my resume, it was on my laptop that was stolen a few months ago. I also have public works, high rise and wide array of other projects under my belt. I can schedule with either Sure Track or Microsoft Project and know the basics on Expedition and Prolog. I spent 10 years in residential prior to getting in to commercial work. We have wanted to relocate to that area for quite sometime now but the right opportunity has not presented itself. The only So. Cal. architect I have worked with is Al Burghard and you can call him at 909-296-3520 to discuss my abilities.
Thanks,

Dr. Marg,
What fee do you get for residential design. I am closing escrow on a lot in Boulder City, Nevada next week and would like to start working on drawings immediately there after. The wife and I have designed a basic floor plan that we actually agree on.

Hey LH, your in a great position to work anywhere you want. Project Construction administrators of all levels are in high demand. I know of several construction companies looking for people like you, even in San Diego which, as you well know, is a very bitchen place to live.
I'm looking for someone with technical construction knowledge that can represent an architectural firm in weekly construction meetings, answer RFI's in conjunction with the Project Architect, handle submittals and all around be a team person. Estimating, scheduling, writing contracts are not requirements.....people skills and charisma are! Your education will be to start thinking more like an architect, not a builder.

Ah Moneypit. I really don't do residential work except on rare occasions. I would love to put some plans together for you but I'm too busy with school stuff. My suggestion is to find a local person in Vegas. I'm sure there's plenty to choose from in all price ranges. Get some good references, check out the work they do and clearly communicate the limit of service you want/need. You may want to start with the local building department or even neighbors for names. I would love to help, but can't right now.
I will call you regarding the position within our firm.

Well Dr. Marg I don't really want to stay in San Diego so I can pretty much go anywhere. I do deal with RFI's/submittals/ Change orders etc... but like you said I dont actually answer the RFI's i have some technical knowledge but probably not as much as you would like me to have. As for the charisma no one can top my personality... Ask lakemead1... I have PERSONALITY.. haha.... So if you hear of any good jobs let me know. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
