This is a follow up to my previous post in "Water level at Mead" Â*that I promised. Â*
So the day starts with the whole trailer incident in Needles, so a couple of hours and a couple hundred dollars (5 to be exact) later, be are back at the water and on our way to Havasu with two of my friends on Sea-Doos following. Â*On the way down, we stop at the sandbar, a couple of friends had never seen it, just for a minute..... we thought. Â*Since the water had dropped a guy in a 28' Nordic was stuck on the sand, so being nice and pretty damn strong (my friends were linemen, not me) we help out. Â*Before you know it we're helping damn near everyone, we finally end our niceness and start to leave when a boat of gang-banger looking guys asks for help and we say we can't gotta go, very sorry, that whole bit. Â*They were pissed but we leave anyway.
Finally we arrive at Havasu in time to grab a quick bite at the Sandbar Cafe (I love that place) and fill up on gas so we get back before the sun goes down. Â*After we eat we notice that one of the Sea-Doos has partially sank!! Â*Pissed, we flush it out get it running and decide to hurry up and get home. Â*We fill up, but the Sea-Doo instantly loses all of its gas (oops, environmental no-no! Sorry) Â*So I tie it up to the boat, and we're off. Â*Almost to the sandbar a guy catches us on his Jet-Ski saying his wife and little girl need a ride to Needles because their Jet-Ski broke down and that's where they rented it from. Â*I couldn't leave them in the middle of nowhere with the sun going down so I turn around and pick them up. Â*Now I'm towing Two Sea-Doos and my boat is overloaded with people, we have a long way to go, I forgot to fill the boat up with gas, and the sun is almost down, and my lights aren't working!!! Â*It's about 10 pm. by the time I reach Topock and realize I am out of gas. Â*Everyone is pissed at Â*me, because Topock's gas dock was closed, my truck is in Needles, the other family needs to get to Needles, our Sea-Doos are sinking, and to top it all off, the boat load of gang-bangers we left at the sandbar were at Topock and wanted to fight!!
Anyways, while I hitched a ride to get my truck, I finally got back to Topock at about 2 am. to find everyone drunk (seems my buddies made friends with the gang-bangers). Â*Of course my truck can't hold my boat and three sea-doos so we made a couple of trips (PAIN IN THE ASS! ) Â*We finally get back to Needles at about 4 am. and to bed at about 6.
HELL of a Day!! Â*Sorry so freakin' long, but a long day = long story.
Now tell yours!!
