Welcome to LVHB - are you going out to Mead tomorrow? If so we should hook up for a silver. What's your availability like for the photo shoot?
Great to have you and look forward to hanging out on the lake!

Congrats man. Nothing like bringing a boat home for the first time. I slept in mine for the first couple days. I was giddy. Are you guys going to make the photo shoot Aug. 3rd at Cottonwood Cove? That would be a good time to hang with everyone http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

76,
Welcome. Its good to have another Eliminator dude in here. I was starting to feel a little claustrophobic here with all the Essex. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

WOW...somebody with an older Eliminator than me! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif 76, glad to have you on the boards.
Thor, I'm with you...it's almost like it is a prereq to have an Essex to be on this board. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif I think that's why O1 had to go out and buy one. It just makes us more "Unique". http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

I see I'm not alone in here with an older boat, I debated Â*on becoming a member for a while.. Until I started too see others in here with clean older boats.. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Â*Mine is original gel still in great shape. Â*I couldn't be happier with my elim. she is clean inside & out. Â*Me & my wife have ran the piss out of it for about 3 weeks now learning the boat, Â*and she runs perfect, Â*and handles the rough very well. A nice change, and with range also. Â*my last boat was a 19' jet.
anyone with v-drive tips on maint, do's or don'ts would be appreciated.... Â* http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Â*460 ford, c6 trans, 20 % overdrive.

76-I have been nothing but pleased with my hull. Â*I, too, still Â*have the original gel....however, I think that is the only thing left that is original. Â*I have put in an all new interior, new engine, new outdrive, and stereo. Â*I have some better pictures of it on my website...check it out Â*1983 Eliminator (http://members.cox.net/kevnmcd/boat)
Post some pics of your as soon as you get them. Â*http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

SWEET!!!!!! How good is the wake behind that for your wakeboarding?? http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Alright, it's about time to rave about my new ride. I didn't want to say anything about it yet cause all of the financing isn't completed and I didn't want to jinx it. But it looks like it's all coming together now and I should have it for the photo shoot.
I picked up a super clean Essex Monarch with a 454 mag, Bravo III. Check it out on Essexboats.com. You'll find it in the Photobook section, 1999, Monarch, Hull #1531. Let me know what you think.
I'm absolutely thrilled to have a quality boat of this level, and besides, Las Vegas Hotboats can't have more Eliminators than Essexs'. Got to keep the ratios correct.
Just kidding! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

So I guess I'll just go in the corner and play by myself! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif I know I'm the only Schi-guy around these parts..................... I think ?!
BTW - an early congrats on the new ride O1. I want to upgrade too, but I'll wait till next year. I trying to get my buddy to sell me his HTM.
Thanks RL for posting that picture. There was a other shot on that Essex page (a little farther down) that you can see the whole boat.
BTW- Neither of those guys in the picture are me.
An HTM, sweet. If that comes through, none of us will be seeing anything but your rear end! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif

Really, are you sure you're not the guy on the left (the balding one) ?
The HTM I want is my neighbor's at the river, it'll be at the photo shoot and it goes about 95mph. It is exactly what I want and because it's used and he's a friend I figured I could save beau coup bucks!! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif I need to convince him that he wants something different ! But I can't get anything until next year anyway.

Glad you like the Essex and welcome to the family so to speak! Now I've got the smallest Essex here. Guess it's time to upgrade to the 25 Tempest or 29 Alandra! http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Thanks everybody for the kind words! So what do you think, do I need to change my screen name?
Hey Scott, I tested the Alandra at the Essex Regatta. It had twin 6.2's. Great boat if you eventually want something bigger.
Thanks Kevin for posting the other picture. In case you haven't noticed, I'm not the most computer literate. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

I'm trying to convince Ron and Steve to build a deckboat. http://www.lasvegashotboats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
We were next to the blue flame Alandra on the cruise around the island after the parade thru the channel, that looked very SWEET going thru the water. It's just so damn big!
